Altitude: 3,120m at Tiger’s Nest | Hike starts from 2,600m Hiking Time: 5 to 6 hours round trip Hike Description: After an early breakfast, drive to the base of Taktsang Monastery. Begin your moderate hike to one of Bhutan’s most iconic spiritual sites – Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), precariously perched on a cliff 900m above the Paro Valley. The monastery is believed to be the meditation site of Guru Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) in the 8th century. Option to enjoy tea/snacks at the Taktsang Cafeteria, located mid-way with a scenic view. Afternoon (post-hike): Return to hotel, relax and enjoy a traditional hot stone bath (optional, extra cost).
