Itinerary Details:

Arrive at Phuntsholing, the border town between India and Bhutan. After completing immigration formalities, meet your Bhutanese guide/driver.
Begin your scenic uphill journey toward Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital. The drive winds through beautiful forested hills, waterfalls, and small mountain villages.
En route, stop at Wangchuk River Valley and enjoy the first glimpse of Bhutanese rural life and enjoy the two-river meeting (Paro River and Thimphu River) which is known to be Chuzom.
Check into hotel upon arrival in Thimphu.

Evening: Free time for a stroll around Thimphu Clock Tower Square, local markets, and handicraft shops.

Hike Description:
After an early breakfast, drive to the base of Taktsang Monastery.
Begin your moderate hike to one of Bhutan’s most iconic spiritual sites – Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), precariously perched on a cliff 900m above the Paro Valley.
The monastery is believed to be the meditation site of Guru Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) in the 8th century.
Option to enjoy tea/snacks at the Taktsang Cafeteria, located mid-way with a scenic view.

Afternoon (post-hike):
Return to hotel, relax and enjoy a traditional hot stone bath (optional, extra cost).
Explore Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples, dating back to the 7th century.
