Full day excursion to Rohtang Pass  - Located at an altitude of 3,978 m. It is a mountainous pass on the eastern side of the Himalayas. This wonderful pass is situated at a distance of around 51 km from Manali. The Kullu Valley of Himachal Pradesh, India is connected with the Lahaul and Spiti Valleys by this pass.
The word 'Rohtang' is a Bhoti word meaning 'pile of corpses'. Earlier while trying to cross the Pass People used to die for bad weather. Rohtang Pass is quite significant in this context.
This pass is a famous picnic spot in summer. Maximum tourists going to Manali do not miss to visit this magnificent site as one can feel and enjoy the snow in summer as well. This pass offers a stunning look of glaciers, mountains and the picturesque landscape. Rohtang is the entry gate to the neighboring tourist destinations. Morning after breakfast day excursion to Nagar – was once capital of the Kullu kingdom and is perhaps the most charming village in the valley today. Russian painter and explorer Nicholas Roerich (Nikolai Rerikh) liked it so much he settled here in the early 20th century. It's an easy day trip from Manali, but with interesting sights and fine walks, visit Naggar Castle - Built by the rajas of Kullu around 1500, this fort-cum-mansion is a fine example of the earthquake-resistant, alternating-stone-and-timber style of Himachali architecture. Sold to the British assistant commissioner in 1846
Museum - This fascinating memorial and museum complex 1km above the castle focuses on the former home of Russian painter, writer and Inner Asian explorer Nicholas Roerich and his wife Elena Roerich, a philosopher, writer and translator. They settled here in 1928 and stayed until his death in 1947. The couple's semi-mystical, aesthetico-orientalist philosophising had an international following in their lifetimes, but it is Nicholas' art that has had the most enduring appeal., Library , Jagat Sukh Temple and water Fall,  later back to Manali for overnight stay.
