Kailash Mansarovar Helicopter Tour is best , Short duration and also easier for elderly people. We use both fixed wing aircraft and charter helicopter in the trip. Holy Mount Kailash is the heaven in the tree realms of oriental existence. You will drive from lucknow to Nepalgunj, Nepalgunj to Simikot by scheduled fixed wing aircraft and from Simikot to Hilsa Nepal – China border you will be shuttled by charter helicopter. You have to walk 15 minutes to Chinese Immigration from Helipad cross Hilsa Bridge. After immigration check drive 1 hour to Purang and another 3 hours drive you will reach in Lake Mansarovar. This tour is ideal for those devout pilgrims who are short on time or cannot undertake the rough road drive over the Tibetan plateau due to age or other health factors. They will fly on fixed wing aircraft to Simikot, District headquarter of Humla from Nepalgunj. A night for acclimatization is required before fly to Tibetan border. Next day chopper meets the group at Simikot and ferries the client to Hilsa Nepal – China border. Short walks up to Chinese check post. As you can see the logistics have to be carefully planned and the tours booked at least 3 weeks in advance. There are eight Gompas around Mansarovar Lake according to Tibetan Buddhism. Every Gompa is constructed in the form of a Mandela. There are all together eight Gompas around the lake. Four of them represent the continents and the other four their sub-continents. They are of different Buddhist sects. Among the monastery sites, ‘Thrugo’ on the southern shore, is considered the holiest site for bathing. Moreover, the water of Mansarovar plays a great role in the lives of farmers.

Day 1 : Lucknow Arrival

Day 2 : Lucknow to Nepalgunj
After breakfast we will drive around 4-5 hrs in AC coach for Nepalgunj. Yatra briefing in evening. Overnight at Nepalgunj. Here you may visit Bageshwari Temple, one of the shaktipith on your own. Nepalgunj is a town of Nepal at India-Nepal Border
Day 3 : Nepalgunj – Simikot (2950m/9676ft)
We take an early morning flight to Simikot by Tara/Sita airlines. Flight will take about 55 minutes to reach and land at Simikot airport. A representative from DN Holy Travels will be there and transfer you to the Sun Valley Resort. Simikot is located in a mountain region and most of the people here follow Buddhism. A full day rest for acclimatization and after having your lunch you can visit Shiva Mandir, this will also help you in trekking exercise.
Day 4 : Fly to Hilsa by Helicopter and Drive to Purang (3800m/ 12464ft)
We fly to Hilsa by helicopter; this flight will take about 20 minute to reach Hilsa, once you land at Hilsa you shall cross Karnali River which is coming from Kailash region. Now we go through the immigration in China/Tibet side. These immigration formalities will take up to 30 minutes and then drive continuously to Purang by bus. Purang is a small town with a beautiful landscape. You can walk around the in the evening and buy some trekking/required equipments/medicines etc.
Day 5 : Drive to Holy Lake Manasarovar(4590m/15060ft)
Today we shall drive to Lake Manasarovar by bus; it will take 2 hours to reach (55km). On the way, you will see the Rakshas Taal. We will take short break and continue our drive to lake Manasarover. Later in the afternoon we shall start Parikrama of Mansarovar- 105 km by bus and Holy Bath. You may done Pooja here with the help of our Purohit. Here you can see first view of Holy Kailash Parvat.
Day 6 : Drive to Darchen (Kailash Base Camp) (4575m/15010ft)
Today we drive toward to Kailash Base Camp; it takes 45 minutes to reach base camp, known as Darchen. Darchen is a small town like purang. It located in the case of Holy mount Kailash and is the starting point for pilgrimage in the region. In the evening you can even explore around the town.
Day 7 : Drive to Yamdwar and trek to Diraphuk(4920m/16137ft)
Early morning trek, after breakfast, drive to Yamdwar. (15km) Yamdwar is the gateway to the parikrama of holy mount Kailash by foot. From here we can see the Kailash East/South face. From here our group will be divided into two. Parikrama group and non-Parikrama group. Parikrama group will start their trek by foot or horse. Non parikrama will drive back to Darchen by eco bus. Trekking will take about 5-6 hours to reach Diraphuk, the trail is not too hard. It might feel difficult because of the high elevation. From this point, you can see the best and closest view of Kailash.
Day 8 : Trek to Zuthulphuk via Dolma la pass (4780m/15442ft
We wake up very early in the morning with the Sherpa team, after breakfast we start up hill trekking to Dolma La pass (5560m/18236ft) this pass is the highest pass and the toughest part of our trek too. After Dolma La pass, we continue our walk as a down ward to the next valley Zuthulphuk. The holiest lake Gauri Kund is situated beyond the Dolma La pass. Hindu followers believe that, Lord Shiva’s ardhangini Mata Parvati was used to take bath in this lake. The total trekking to Zuthulphuk requires 10 to 12 hours and you have to cover 20 to 22km by one day.
Day 9 : Trek to Zhongdo and drive to Purang/Hilsa (3800m/12464ft)
Early in the morning we shall start our trek to Zhongdo. Today trekking is quite easy and flat, after 2 hours, we shall reach Zhongdo and Eco bus will pick us up. Then we shall drive continuously to Purang/Hilsa.
Day 10 : Fly to Simikot – Nepalgunj – Lucknow
Early in the morning we get ready to fly by helicopter to Simikot. Flight will take about 20 minutes to reach Simikot and continue our flight to Nepalgunj and drive to Lucknow.
Day 11 : Lucknow
Today is the Final Day of this Kailash Tour. After B/f Free to Proceed for Your Home Destination with Blessings of Lord Shiva !!
