Depart before sunrise only when the entire route has been locally cleared and judged safe. Travel via the Shyok approach towards Pangong Lake, enjoy a short stop at permitted viewpoints and continue to Leh via the Chang La road. This is an exceptionally long, high-altitude winter day, potentially 300?360 km and considerably longer than summer timings. Packed breakfast/refreshments may be arranged subject to the hotel. Important: This circuit is conditional, not guaranteed. If road or daylight conditions make it unsafe, return directly from Nubra to Leh. Depart after breakfast for a day along the Leh?Kargil Highway (approximately 130 - 150 km return, depending on stops). Visit the Hall of Fame Museum, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib and Magnetic Hill, followed by the breathtaking meeting point of the Indus and Zanskar rivers near Nimmu. Continue to Alchi Monastery, and include Likir only if winter access and daylight allow. Return to Leh for the final evening. Optional change: Replace the day with a Pangong excursion from Leh when Day 5 was diverted, if road conditions and guest fitness permit.
