Five days with two nights by the Lidder: one houseboat night on Dal Lake with a 1-hour shikara, the Pampore saffron fields and Awantipora ruins on the drive south, two nights in a 3-star Pahalgam hotel and one night in a 3-star Srinagar hotel. Breakfast and dinner, a private Toyota Etios with tolls and parking, airport pickup and drop and 5% GST are included. The Pahalgam union taxi for Aru, Betaab and Chandanwari is extra. Jain meals on request.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Srinagar: Houseboat And Shikara

Dal Lake

Airport pickup at SXR, houseboat check-in, one-hour shikara on Dal Lake in the evening. Dinner and the night on the houseboat.

Day 2 Srinagar To Pahalgam

A slow drive south: the saffron fields at Pampore (in flower for a few weeks around late October and early November), then the Awantipora temple ruins. Evening walk along the Lidder in Pahalgam town. Dinner and the night at a 3-star hotel in Pahalgam.

Day 3 Aru, Betaab And Chandanwari

Chandanwari

The local union taxi takes you up the valleys from Pahalgam (union fare extra, paid there): Betaab Valley, Chandanwari and Aru. Rather keep it slow? Skip the union taxi and spend the day by the river. Second night in Pahalgam.

Day 4 Lidder Morning, Back To Srinagar

A last walk by the Lidder after breakfast, then the drive back to Srinagar. Dinner and the night at a 3-star Srinagar hotel.

Day 5 Departure

Airport drop with a buffer. Late flight? Nishat or Shalimar on the way.

- 15 to 29 days before: 50% of the advance refunded.
- Less than 15 days before, or no-show: no refund.
- Bad weather or road closures: we change the plan or give credit for a later trip.
