It is fit to make the mention of a visionary and dreamy-eyed Jesuit Rev. Fr. MacDonald, who pioneered Trekking as an organized Holiday and Sport in the Sikkim-Darjeeling area where hundreds of Trekkers now cluster for its joys.

The Eastern Himalayas, including Sikkim-Darjeeling, the area where the trekking is well regulated are extremely beautiful and possesses the varied forms of rich flora and fauna. Trekking-Trails varies from soft and moderate to extreme. The more rewarding treks are in altitudes from 6,000 ft. to 14,000 ft.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Come Gangtok

On Arrival At Bagdogra Airport(ibx)/njp Meet Our Representative and Come to Gangtok. Pleasant Overnight Stay in Gangtok.
Day 2

GANGTOK SIGHTSEEING

After Breakfast Gangtok Sightseeing. Morning Visit Enchey , Flower Show, Cottage Industry, Research Institute of Tibetology. After Lunch Visit Rumtek Monastrey.
Day 3

GANGTOK- YUKSUM ( Altitude-1760 M )

Drive Form Gangtok to Yuksum 112 Kms. Time Taken 6hrs. On the Way Visit Bon Monastery Near Ravongla. Overnight At Hotel.
Day 4

YUKSAM – BAKHIM (Altitude-2750 M )

After Breakfast, Equipped Yourself for the Trek, from Yuksam to Bakhim, 14 Kms/6hrs. Time Taken Approx. Trek Begins with a Low Gradient Until You Cross Sachen and After Third Bridge, Walk Through Dense Forest of Pine and Oak. Cross Stream Prek-chu and Climb Uphill Lasting for Steady 2 Hours and We Will Reach Bakhim. this Would Be An Acclimatization Stay. Overnight At Campsite.
Day 5

BAKHIM – TSHOKA (Altitude-3050 M)

After the Breakfast, Pack Your Bags and Put On Your Gears for the Trail that Will Pass Through Magnolia and Rhododendron Trees, the Most Tiring Uphill Climb, Yet Exciting At the Same Time. We Will Reach Tshoka, Once Used to Be a Small Village Housing About Twelve Thatched Roof Houses, and Now Only Few Left. if Weather is Favourable, You Can See Mount Pandim, Aralunchong and Lama –lamini. Overnight At Campsite (tents).
Day 6

TSHOKA- DZONGRI ( Altitude-4020 mtrs. )

After Breakfast, Move for the Moment You Wanted to Grab. the Trek from Tshoka to Dzongri is Taken Approx 5hrs We Go Through Dense Forest of Rhododendrons There’re Over 400 Flowering Species , a Place Called Deorali Dara Provides a Magnificent View of Mountains.then We Reach Phedhang for a Break .after Phedang Still Further Climbing We Reach Dzongri Here the Vegetation is Thin and We Tend to Find Only Small Bushes and Shrubs for the Night Stay .acclimatization Here is Must for Further Ascending Trekkers. Overnight in Tent.
Day 7

DZONGRI

In Dzongri Early Morning We Take a Walk to Dablagaon( Dzongritop) and Witness the Beautiful Sunrise and the Glaze that It Makes On the Mounntain-peaks. the View from this Point is Magnificent, One Can View Total of 19 Peaks Including the Majestic Mt.khang-chen-dzonga. Here You Feel like You are Really On Top of the World. After Satisfying Yourself, After Capturing the Panorama of this Wonderful Feat, Don’t Feel Bad to Descend Down and have Your Breakfast as You have More to Explore With. a Walk to Laxmi Pokhari, Doring(opposite to Dzongri) and other Interesting Mountain Walk Would Be Another Thrilling Experiences to Gather. Overnight At Camp.
Day 8

DZONGRI –TSHOKA

After breakfast, its time to say Tata, Bye-Bye to Dzongri. We descend down towards Tshoka and halt there.
Day 9

TSHOKA- YUKSAM:

The Trek from Tshoka to Yuksum Takes About 4.5hrs, It’s Totally a Descending Trek. Overnight At Hotel in Yuksam.
Day 10

Yuksam to Bagdora

Air Port/new Jalpiguri Railway Station for Your Further Destination.
