Follow these simple steps to complete your Amarnath Yatra registration online:
Step 1: Go to the official Shri AmarnathJi Shrine Board (SASB) website. On the top menu, click on the "Online Services" option.
Step 2: Choose the "Yatra Permit Registration" option from the list.
Step 3: Read all the important guidelines, including the dos and don’ts for the yatra. Once you've read them, click on "I Agree" and then hit "Register" to continue.
Step 4: Now, fill in your personal details—like your name, travel date, mobile number, Aadhaar number, etc. Upload a recent passport-size photograph and a scanned copy of your Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) issued by an authorized doctor. After entering all the required information, click "Submit".
Step 5: You will receive a one-time password (OTP) on your mobile number. Enter the OTP to verify your identity.
Step 6: Within two hours of completing your form, you’ll get a payment link. Pay the registration fee (around 220, subject to change) through the link provided.
Step 7: Once your payment is successful, you can download and print your Amarnath Yatra registration permit.

Pilgrims can choose from two main routes to reach the Amarnath Cave:
1. Pahalgam Route (Traditional Route)
Route: Jammu → Pahalgam → Chandanwari → Sheshnag → Panchtarni → Amarnath Cave
Duration: 4–5 days (one way)
Difficulty Level: Moderate to Difficult
Ideal for: Devotees seeking a traditional experience
2. Baltal Route (Shorter Route)
Route: Jammu → Sonmarg → Baltal → Domel → Barari → Sangam → Amarnath Cave

For elderly pilgrims or those short on time, helicopter services are available from Baltal to Panchtarni and Pahalgam to Panchtarni. From Panchtarni, a 5–6 km trek leads to the cave. Tickets can be booked online through authorized portals approved by the SASB.

By Air: Nearest airport is in Srinagar. From there, reach Baltal or Pahalgam by road.
By Train: Jammu is the nearest railway station. Taxis and buses are easily available from Jammu to reach the base camps.
By Road: Well-connected roads lead to both Pahalgam and Baltal base camps.
