About Palani

Palani is a town located in Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu. The town of Palani is known for housing the delightful shrine of Lord Murugan. According to folklores, when Lord Murugan (Kartikeya) was unable to win the race and lost it to his younger brother, Ganesha, he left Kailash and settled in the hills of Palani to know more about own-self. Today, a marvelous temple dedicated to him is built on the hills of Palani.
