It is about 12 kilometers from the Islands ferry pier. Radha Nagar is a Grade A beach of outstanding quality. This beach is also rated as the best beach in Asia by TIME Magazine. It has an overall length of two kilometers and an average width of 30 to 40 meters. The sand is white and very fine in grain. Early morning we start for Island of Lime Stone Cave. Baratang Island, around 110KM from Port Blair. A three hour ride through evergreen and deciduous forest is a soothing journey through stretches of the “highway” through the JARAWA reserved area. If luck favours then one can get a glimpses of the Jarawas. As it is prohibited to get down or to stop the vehicle in that area, the ride ends beyond Middle Strait, where a large ferry capacious enough to hold a few buses to parked them aboard. After having breakfast the journey towards Lime Stone Cave start through Man-groves. Worldwide lime stone caves are much admired for their natural sculpture created by lime stone with only one cave open to the public for a few years now. The splendor of Baratang is a silver lining in the mind and memory of nature’s art brings contentment to the travelers. (night stay at Rangat).
