This safari takes you north of Nairobi into the rugged landscapes of Samburu National Reserve, a unique wilderness along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. Samburu is renowned for its rare wildlife species found only in northern Kenya, including the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk—collectively known as the “Samburu Special Five.”
Morning departure from Nairobi, driving north through Mt. Kenya region (approx. 6 hrs).
