  The 6-day private jeep ride with Natural World Kenya Safari was a colorful discovery. Samburu National Reserve has given us animals that we don't see anywhere else—Grevy's zebras and reticulated giraffes. The sea of thousands of flamingos in Lake Nakuru is a living painting, and the rhinoceros and many species of birds there have enriched the experience. Towards the end of the tour, we witnessed a lion hunt from close quarters at the Masai Mara, which thrilled the entire group.   Our visit to Samburu was a unique experience. As we left the hustle and bustle of the city for northern Kenya, the scene changed. Although the roads were a bit rough, the guide was driving with great care. The famous reticulated giraffe was the first thing I saw when I arrived at the Samburu Reserve! Their design is very different. Then I saw the long-necked gerenuk walk right past our car. The most exciting was the Ewaso Nyiro River. There I saw huge crocodiles sleeping together.   Our December 2024 safari with Lamara Tourism was simply outstanding! Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Samburu were breathtaking, and staying at Serena Hotels made it even more luxurious.   I took part in a 3-day Samburu Safari with Bencia Africa Adventure Safaris, and honestly, the experience was beyond our expectations. Our guide was very experienced and very well explained about the animals and the environment. We felt safe, comfortable, and well-organized throughout the trip. The Samburu region was quite different—much less crowded, more wild, and with a quietness of nature. It is a unique experience to get a chance to see special wildlife such as the reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and Grevy's zebra. It was really fascinating to see crocodiles along the Ewaso Nyiro River and enjoy the sunset in that environment. I must say, if you want to taste the lesser-known but extremely rich nature and wildlife of Northern Kenya, then this 3-day Samburu Safari will be an excellent choice for you.. ...more
