Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Airport to Nairobi

Pick clients up from the airport to Nairobi hotel. In case the flight arrives in the morning, we will drive to Nanyuki hotel. Dinner and accommodation will be provided in the hotel.

Day 2

Nairobi to Mountain Kenya National Park

After breakfast, we will drive toward Central Kenya with several stops, including the Equator and Nanyuki Town, where we will meet our crew, including our guide, cook, and porters. We will then continue our drive to the Sirimon Park Gate, which is located 2,675 meters above sea level.

After lunch, we will take an acclimatization walk lasting 3 to 4 hours, which is ideal for preparing for the hiking ahead.

Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at Old Moses Camp, situated at an altitude of 3,300 meters.

Day 3

Old Moses Camp to Shiptons Camp

After breakfast, we will hike through the moorland via Mackinders Valley to Shipton's Camp (4200 meters). The hike takes 7-8 hours. Day 4

Shiptons Camp to Mackinders Camp[4200 meters]

After breakfast, we will ascend the west side of the mountain via two tarns to Mackinder's Camp, located at 4,200 meters. This route provides a chance to view the mountain peaks from the west in the Teleki Valley.

We will have dinner and spend the night at the camp. On this day, we will enjoy an early dinner in preparation for the next day's ascent to the summit, Peak Lenana, which stands at 4,985 meters.

Day 5

Mackinders Camp, Lenana peak, to Old Moses Camp

Pre-dawn, at 3:00 AM, we will ascend to Peak Lenana. The hike takes six hours (from Shipton's Camp and back) to reach the summit by sunrise. On a clear day, Mount Kilimanjaro can be seen from the peak. This is the second highest point in Africa. After taking in the views, we will descend through Shipton's Camp to Old Moses Camp.

Day 6

Old Moses Camp to Nairobi

Transport

After breakfast, descend through the forest to the Sirimon Park gate and connect to transport for Nairobi. We bid farewell to our crew at the park gate.
