After breakfast, drive north of the city to visit Phuoc tich ancient pottery village (40 km – 1 hour drive), a charming riverside community that has stood for over five centuries. Nestled along the O Lau River, this national relic is home to more than 30 century-old wooden houses, dated back to XV century, offering a vivid glimpse into Vietnam’s architectural and cultural past. According to historical records, during the Nguyen Dynasty, Phuoc Tich enjoyed a unique imperial privilege that no other village had. Each year, the villagers were required to submit around 400 clay rice pots (“om”) to the royal court for cooking rice for the Emperor. The court strictly forbade villagers from keeping pots resembling these imperial ones for personal use — anyone who disobeyed faced severe punishment. This tradition highlights the village’s long-standing reputation for crafting pottery fit for the emperor, a legacy still visible in Phuoc Tich today. Afternoon back to Hue. Lunch at local restaurant . Continue visit the mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang, in the tranquil setting garden and lakes. Overnight in Hué - Ancient Hue Garden house 5* (Truong tien house).
Activities : Sightseeing
A full morning tour to visit Bao vinh ancient town and Thanh tien paper flower village in the outskirt of Hue. From the 17th to 19th centuries, Bao Vinh Ancient Town was the heart of commerce in the Dang Trong ( as known as The South region). Many asian merchants settled here, trading local goods such as salt, rice, fish sauce, and seafood. Merchant ships from Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, India, and even Europe once sailed to this thriving port to exchange goods and culture. Though time has left its mark—many old houses have faded and their wooden beams grown fragile—the town still preserves its old-world charm. As you glide along the gentle Perfume River, you’ll see humble houses leaning beneath taller ones, their moss-covered roofs clustered closely together, creating a poetic scene—especially as the sun sets over the water. With its quiet rhythm of life and romantic charm, Bao Vinh captivates visitors through every weathered wall and narrow alleyway. On arrival, enjoy a leisurely stroll through its shaded lanes and visit a traditional family temple, where the spiritual heart of Hue continues to endure through generations.Continue your walk to visit village pagoda and the local market, a lively place filled with color, aroma, and the rhythm of daily life. Enjoy a cup of coffee at the famous coffee shop, once was the shooting location for the film “Blue eyes” From here, board a small ferry across the Perfume River, taking in the tranquil scenery before touring through green paddy fields, to Thanh Tien Village, Thanh Tien Village has been renowned throughout Hue for 400 years for its traditional craft of handmade paper flowers. These delicate creations hold a special place in Hue’s culture: the finely crafted, lifelike flowers are often used for decorations and special events, while the simpler versions are typically placed on ancestral altars—a beautiful choice that never withers and carries no unpleasant scent indoors. Among them, the lotus flowers made here are considered the most beautiful of all. Lunch before transfer to airport for your connecting flight. End of tour.
