Early morning at around 4:45 AM drive to 8000 feet / 2440 meters through primitive forests of oak, magnolia to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather) On the way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Peace memorial & Batasia Loop. After breakfast day excursion to the oval-shaped changu lake /Tsomgo Lake (40 km from Gangtok departure in the morning) - situated at a height of 3,780 mt. with an average depth of 50 ft and home to the Brahminy duck and several migratory birds. On the way stop at Kyongnosla, The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Travel to Baba Mandir another 17 km beyond Tsongo lake. Return to Gangtok. Sightseeing starts with Durpin Monastery, Army Golf Course, Cactus Nursery, Hanuman Tok, Dr Grahams Home etc. Heritage buildings are Gouripur House and Morgan House, Delo Park etc. Next, the driver will be assisting for the transfer to Lava.Lava isroughly32 kilometres from Kalimpong.BirdslikeBlue Robins, Fulvetta, Finch, Wren Babblers can be spotted, Lava Monastery ambience with typical Tibetan architecture is serene and wonderful, Nature Interpretation Center of Neora Valley National Park can also be visited.
