Maharani Temple, also known as Mohineshwara Shivalaya, is a tourist-cum-religious site in Gulmarg. It was constructed in the year 1915 by Mohini Sisodia, the wife of Maharaja Hari Singh, the last king of J&K. This temple is strategically built on a small hill in Gulmarg and interestingly, it is visible from higher elevations from anywhere in the hill town! It is visited by the devotees and tourists extensively.

Maharani Temple is a Hindu shrine and there are certain regulations that a visitor should abide by. None is allowed to enter the temple premises with any kind of weaponry, leather items, alcohol, and camera.
