Nazarbaug Palace

Nazarbaug Palace was a well-known name in the list of the tourist destinations in the Indian state of Gujarat. This palace was located in Vadodara city and served as the erstwhile residence of the royal family of Gaekwads. It was built by Malhar Rao Gaekwad in the year 1721 and was known as the oldest palace in Vadodara.

3)    It was used by the royals for different occasions. It also housed the guns made up of gold and silver with each weighing over 100 kg.

4)    In the year 1927, this palace served as a home to the precious jewels and had a collection of the jewelry with a net worth of ten billion dollars. The jewelry was auctioned as there were no heirs left.

5)    The interiors of the palace were lavishing and were adorned with the paintings of the Japanese, European, Chinese, and Indian artists. All these paintings were auctioned as well to the millionaires.

Best Time To Visit:-
Visiting this place is not worthy anymore because the palace was demolished for the construction of the mall and some shopping complexes. The garden around it is now used as a parking for the vehicles.
