Drive to Punakha via the scenic Dochula Pass (10,300 ft), dotted with 108 memorial chortens and offering spectacular Himalayan views.
In Punakha:
Punakha Dzong – Known as the “Palace of Great Happiness,” located at the confluence of two rivers.
Suspension Bridge – One of Bhutan’s longest bridges, fluttering with prayer flags, offering stunning valley views.
River rafting – Rafting on both male and female river is possible (extra cost)
Chimi Lhakhang – A temple of fertility blessed by divine mad man.
Towards evening drive back to Thimphu via Dochula pass.
Overnight in Thimphu.

Buddha Dordenma – A 169 ft golden Buddha statue overlooking Thimphu Valley, housing over 125,000 smaller statues.
National Memorial Chorten – A whitewashed stupa built in memory of Bhutan’s Third King, a hub for spiritual activity.
Simply Bhutan Museum – A living museum showcasing Bhutanese culture, traditional homes, food, dance, and local lifestyle. Guests can try archery or taste local butter tea.
Motithang Takin Preserve – A wildlife reserve that protects Bhutan’s national animal, the rare Takin, which looks like a mix of cow and goat.
Drive to Paro towards afternoon via Chuzom. In Paro if time permits:
Rinpung Dzong – Fortress of the Heap of Jewels, showcasing classic Bhutanese architecture.
Kyichu Lhakhang – A 7th-century temple, one of the oldest and most sacred in Bhutan.
Paro Ta Dzong – A museum built above Paro dzong facing the beautiful Paro valley.
Hire and try Bhutanese dress with the beautiful background view of Paro dzong and Paro River.

Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang Monastery) – Bhutan’s most iconic landmark perched on a cliffside at 10,200 ft. A sacred site where Guru Rinpoche meditated. (Trek 3–4 hrs, optional pony ride).
Evening stroll in Paro town for handicrafts & souvenirs after hot stone bath which relaxes your muscles and join pains.
