Pickup from Siliguri town, NJP Railway Station, or Bagdogra Airport and a scenic drive through the lush tea gardens and forests of the Dooars region to Jaigaon Phuentsholing at the India Bhutan border. Expect a drive of approximately 4.5 to 5 hours covering around 165 km. Complete border entry formalities at Phuentsholing, check in to the hotel and enjoy an evening at leisure to stroll around the Bhutan Gate and local market. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

Process tourist permit and immigration formalities at Phuentsholing before commencing the uphill scenic drive into the heart of the Himalayas towards Thimphu at approximately 7710 ft. The drive covers around 170 km and takes about 5 to 6 hours with panoramic views of mountain passes, waterfalls and the Chukha Hydel Project area en route. Arrive in Thimphu, check in to the hotel and if time permits visit Tashichho Dzong in the evening. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Thimphu local sightseeing in the morning followed by an afternoon drive to Punakha covering about 75 km. Visit Buddha Dordenma for sweeping valley views, stop by the National Memorial Chorten, the Folk Heritage Museum and Motithang Takin Preserve which is home to Bhutan's national animal. In the afternoon drive towards Punakha via the breathtaking Dochula Pass at 10,171 ft featuring 108 memorial chortens and snow capped Himalayan vistas. Arrive in Punakha, check in to the hotel and overnight stay in Punakha.

Morning exploration of Punakha with a visit to the iconic Punakha Dzong located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers and a walk across the famous Punakha Suspension Bridge. Optionally take a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang the Fertility Temple. In the afternoon drive across winding valleys towards Paro and on arrival visit Rinpung Dzong and Kyichu Lhakhang. Overnight stay in Paro. Approximate drive distance to Paro is around 125 km taking about 3.5 to 4 hours.

Paro sightseeing including visits to multiple monasteries and heritage sites such as Kichulanka Monastery, Ta Dzong, Paro Rinpung Dzong and associated museum, Nya Mey Zam, Dungtse Lhankhang, Kila Gumpa and Druk Choeding with viewpoint access to Tigers Nest monasteries. Optionally undertake the Taktsang Lhakhang Tigers Nest hike at additional cost. In the late afternoon commence the drive back down towards Phuentsholing for an overnight stay. Note the drive back covers approximately 170 km.

After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer across the border from Phuentsholing back to Siliguri or to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport for onward departure. The drive is approximately 165 km and takes around 4.5 hours.
