The drive is approximately 170 km and takes about 3–4 hours, passing through lush tea gardens and the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas.
After checking into the hotel in Phuentsholing, the evening is reserved for a walk to local attractions such as the Zangto Pelri Lhakhang Temple, a replica of Guru Rinpoche's celestial abode, and the Phuentsholing Market for local crafts.
