BIKHBARI-DZONGRI TREK TOUR

Upon our arrival at the nearest airport Bagdogra, where our assistant will meet you with transport to Darjeeling - about 3 hours. The journey through tea plantations and tiny villages takes us to Darjeeling. Built on top of a ridge, Darjeeling faces the Himalayasand provides a broad introduction to Nepalese culture in addition to its old colonial feel. Overnight comfortable stay in your hotel in Darjeeling (6700 ft.)

Early morning (@04:00AM), drive to the Tiger hill. Situated at an altitude of 8442 ft. Tiger hill has earned international fame for the magnificent view of the sunrise. The majestic peak Kanchenjunga (8596 mtrs) rears up flanked by Mt.Kabru and Mt Pandim to the far left are Everest, Makalu and Lhotse. Other peaks visible from here are Mt. Jano, Mt. Nar sing, Mt. Frey peak, Mt. Sinolchu etc. After Tiger Hill, visit Yiga Choling Monastery of Ghoom. After breakfast, visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, a high altitude wildlife Zoo with the most successful captive breeding center for Snow leopard and Red Panda. After this visit, you may proceed to Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center and then Tea Garden. You may take a joy ride in the famous Darjeeling "Toy Train", titled World Heritage Site by UNESCO. After breakfast drive to Yuksum. (1780 M) – The oldest capital of Sikkim. Yuksum is the base for Dzongri Trek. Overnight stay at Yuksom Hotel.

Start the first day trek to reach Tsoka (3049 m). It’s an uphill trek through dense bamboo bushes and forest. The trek crosses numerous streams en-route.Overnight stay at Tent.

Trek to Phedang along a well-marked track through thick Rhododendron forest, bamboo bushes. The trek is gradual climb for most part. Dzongri offers fantastic view of Kanchendzonga range of mountains and Mt. Pandim. Overnight stay in trekkers hut / camp. Overnight stay at Tent.

Today after breakfast, trek to Dzongri and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Tent.

Rise early and shine, today you will have to trek uphill till the ridge to chase the dawn. The view of the sun gliding above the mountainous horizon is breathtaking. Also, you can enjoy the astounding view of the neighbouring peaks - Kanchenjunga (8,586 m), Kabru (7,000 m), Pandim (6,691 m), Rathong glacier, amongst other. After few steps, you will trek along the rhododendron bushes and pasture land, till you reach Chamaray. From Chamaray, a steep uphill climb might land you to Laxmi Pokhari. Back to Dzongri -which will be your camping site for the day and dinner.Overnight stay at Tent.

Today is going to be the day for what you have been waiting, trek to the Kanchenjunga Base Camp. Early morning, get ready for a trek to Kanchenjunga Base Camp to see the stunning view of the Frey's peak (5830 meters), Koktang (6,148 meters), Kabur and Rathong glacier. Spend some time there and come back to Bikhbari for camp and overnight stay.Overnight stay at Tent.
