Day 1

Paro (Arrival at Airport) | Area altitude: 2,280m

Representative of Bhutan Mystical Tours will welcome and receive you in the airport
Visit the Ta Dzong (The National museum)
Visit Rinpong Dzong (Means the ‘heap of jewels’)
Scroll over the paro town
Transfer to the Hotel
Day 2

Destinations: Paro | Excursion to Taktsang Monastery | Area altitude: 2,280m

Drive to the ruins of the Drukgyal Dzong 16 km up the valley. Built in 1647 by the great Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal
Experience an unforgettable view of Mt. Jhomolhari (7,314 m)
On the way back, visit Kichu Lhakhang, built in 659 A.D by the Tibetan king Srongsen Gampo
Day 3

Destination: Paro - Jele Dzong (Start of Trek) | Area altitude: 3,560m | Distance: 10kms | Walking T

The trek begins above the National Museum
Climb till we reach camp
The campsite is near the old Jele Dzong
Day 4

Destination: Jele Dzong - Jangchulakha | Area altitude: 3770m; Distance: 10kms | Walking Time: 3-4 h

Trek starts with a short climb, till we reach camp
Day 5

Destination: Jangchulakha - Jimilangtso | Area altitude: 3,870m | Distance: 11kms | Walking Time: 4h

The trail follows the ridge
The camp is close to Lake Jimilangtso
Day 6

Destination: Jimilangtso - Simkota | Area altitude: 4,110m | Distance: 11kms | Time: 4hrs | Ascent:

The trail takes you through dwarf rhododendron trees past the lake of Janetso
Overnight camp
Day 7

Destination: Simkota - Phajoding - Thimphu | Area altitude: 2,520m Distance: 15 kms | Time: 6-7hrs |

Slowly descend down to Phajoding Monastery from where Thimphu town is visible
After lunch drive to the Traditional Medicine Institute
Takin Preserve Centre
Sangay Gang View Point and to the Largest Statue of Buddha
Day 8

Destination: Thimphu Sightseeing | Area Altitude: 2,320m | Time taken: Full day

Visit to the National Memorial Chorten (1974) built in honour of our late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk
The Dupthop Lhakhang one of the few surviving nunneries in Bhutan
Visit the National Library
Painting School where traditional art is still kept alive
Visit the Handicrafts Emporium
Visit to the Tashichho Dzong
Day 9

Destination: Thimphu - Punakha | Area altitude: 1,310m | Travelling distance: 72kms | Time taken: 3h

Drive to Punakha via Dochula pass
Visit Punakha Dzong built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal
Visit Chime Lhakhang, which was built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley. The Temple is also known as "the Temple of Fertility"
Day 10

Destination: Punakha - Thimphu - Paro | Area altitude: 2,280m | Travelling distance: 126kms.

Drive to Paro via Thimphu
Afternoon, free for shopping
Evening, drive to Paro

Early morning, drive to the airport and farewell
