This tour is a combination of the Bhutanese cultural experience with spectacular festival, "The Grand Thimphu Tshechu" where you can see spectacular mask dances performed by the monks in the courtyard of the Tashichho Dzong. The tour will also take you to the beautiful valley of Bumthang, spiritual hub of Bhutan and Gangtey-Phobjikha valley, and the most beautiful glacial valleys in the Himalayas.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Paro (by Druk Air/bhutan Airlines) | Area Altitude: 2,280m

Representative of Bhutan Mystical Tours will welcome & receive you at the airport.
Visit Ta Dzong - an ancient watch tower.
Rimpong Dzong, (literally meaning "Heap of Jewels").
Drive to Thimphu.
Day 2 Thimphu (sightseeing Tour) | Area Altitude: 2,320m | Time Taken: Full Day

Morning drive to Kuensel Phodrang view point.
Visit Tashichhoedzong.
Visit Folk Heritage Museum.
Visit the national painting school.
Changangkha Lhakhang.
National Zoo (Takin preservation center, Takin is our national animal).
Evening stroll through the Thimphu town.
Day 3 Thimphu - Witness Thimphu Tshechu | Area Altitude: 2,320m Time Taken: Full Day

Drive towards Tashichhodzong.
Day 4 Thimphu – Witness Thimphu Tshechu - Thimphu Or Tango Monastery (a Short Hike)

Drive towards Tashichhodzong or ascend towards Tango Monastery.
A short drive takes us to Satsam Chorten.
Drive to the ruins of the Drukgyal Dzong, built in 1647 by the Great saint
Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal.
Enjoy the panoramic view of Mt. Jhomolhari (7,314 m) on the way back.
Visit Kichu Lhakhang, built in 659 A.D by the Tibetan king Srongsen Gampo.
Day 5 Thimphu - Punakha / Wangdue Phodrang | Area Altitude: 1,310m | Travelling Distance: 76kms | Time Tak

After breakfast, drive to Punakha via Dochula pass.
While at Dochula pass view higher mountains.
On the way, stop a while to view Chimi Lhakhang, which was built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley in 15th century. The Temple is also known as "the Temple of Fertility".
Visit Punakha Dzong built in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal and is situated between Pho Chu (Male River) and Mo Chu (Female River).
Day 6 Punakha - Gangtey | Area Altitude: 3,120m | Travelling Distance: 80km | Time Taken: 3hrs

After breakfast drive to the beautiful valley of Gangtey.
Enroute sightseeing in the valley of Wangdi Phodrang includes: visit to Wangdi Phodrang Dzong built in 1638.
Visit Gangtey Gompa monastery from outside.
Explore Phobjikha valley, famous for the Black Necked Cranes during winter.
Day 7 Gangtey - Punakha - Paro | Area Altitude: 2,800m | Travelling Distance: 193kms | Time Taken: 7hrs 15

After breakfast sightseeing tour.
Drive towards Paro via Punakha & Thimphu.
Day 8 Paro | Area Altitude: 2,800m | Time Taken: Full Day

Morning Excursion to the Taktsang.
A short drive to Satsam Chorten.
Drive to the ruins of the Drukgyal Dzong, built in 1647 by the Great Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal.
Experience an unforgettable view of Mt. Jhomolhari (7,314m) on the way back.
Visit Kichu Lhakhang, built in 659 A.D by the Tibetan king Srongsen Gampo.
