Leh can be visited by air or road. Book a flight to Leh from Manali or Srinagar. The Manali-Leh Highway is on the Sark route which is available for travellers from June to September.
Indian citizens do not need a permit for most areas of Ladakh. Inner Line Permit is required in remote areas. Foreigners need a special permit.
