Art and Culture The mosques and temples of the district consist of inscriptions and sculptures which can be of considerable interest to the art students. The town of Kozhikode itself possesses many temples, the most significant of which are the Tiruvannur temple, the Tali temple, Varakkal temple, Bilathikuam temple, Azhakodi temple, & Bhairagimadom temple. Some of the temples consist of paintings and sculptures which are of very high artistic order.
