Markandeshwar Temple, Puri

Markandeshwar Temple is a sacred Hindu temple in the Indian state of Odisha. Located in the district of Puri, it is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is one of the fifty-two sacred Shiva shrines in India. It was built by the sage Markandeya at the exact spot where he was saved by Lord Shiva. Presently, it is frequented on a huge scale by Hindus as well as Non-Hindus.
