Meet at Nanyuki in the morning and complete equipment and gear checks before driving to the forest trailhead. The day includes a 17 km drive to Gathiuru Forest Station at about 2,300 m for a picnic lunch and park registration, followed by a 10 km trek through bamboo forest to reach Giant Bamboo Forest Camp at approximately 2,800 m. In-camp refreshments and a bonfire are provided, with dinner and overnight in four season mountain tents. Key highlights: equipment and gear check at 11:00, drive to Gathiuru, picnic lunch, 3-4 hour trek under bamboo canopy, 4:00 tea and snacks, bonfire and camping.

A full mountain day starting early with a wake at 06:00, breakfast at 07:00 and departure by 08:00 through bamboo canopy. The route ascends into higher ground with a hot lunch before the final push into open moorland and arrival at Highlands Castle Camp at 3,559 m. Afternoon and evening include refreshments, dinner and overnight; natural cave camping may be possible for small groups. Key highlights: structured early morning schedule, transition from bamboo to moorland, arrival at Highlands Castle Camp, all meals included.

Wake at 07:00 with breakfast at 07:30 and a start by 08:30 as the trek enters the alpine zone. A hot lunch is taken at Two Tarn, a small mountain lake, before continuing to American Camp at about 4,400 m, located close to the main peaks with panoramic views. The afternoon is for rest followed by tea, snacks, dinner and overnight in alpine camp. Key highlights: alpine zone trekking, Two Tarn lunch stop, arrival at American Camp near the peaks, acclimatisation rest time.

Summit push day starting with a light breakfast at 01:00 and departure by 02:00 via Austrian Hut to reach Point Lenana for sunrise at approximately 06:00 to 06:40. After summit time, return to Austrian Hut for a full breakfast and short rest, then descend about 5 km to Lake Michaelson for a hot lunch and free time. Activities at the lake include trout fishing or walking the shore and panorama viewpoints. Evening includes tea, snacks, dinner and overnight at Lake Michaelson Camp. Key highlights: pre-dawn summit ascent, sunrise on Point Lenana, descent to Lake Michaelson with leisure options and optional angling.

Morning start with wake at 07:00 and breakfast at 07:30, then a 2.5 km climb out of the Gorges Valley followed by a non-stop 8 km descent to the road head at about 3,300 m for a hot lunch. The route includes a visit to the nearby Nithi waterfalls en route and covers the final 7 km to Anabas Campsite at approximately 2,950 m. Evening routine includes tea, snacks, dinner and overnight in mountain tents. Key highlights: climb out of Gorges Valley, long descent to road head, Nithi waterfalls visit and arrival at Anabas Campsite.

Final day includes a light breakfast then a short walk to a wildlife viewpoint near water points before returning to camp for a full breakfast at 08:30. The trek continues with a 10 km descent through bamboo forest to the Clearing pick-up point at about 2,500 m, followed by transport to Chogoria Forest Gate (2,400 m) for park sign out and exit. The guide, cook and porters are bid farewell and onward transport from Chogoria town is arranged. Key highlights: wildlife viewpoint walk, descent through bamboo to pick-up point, sign out at Chogoria and end of trek.
