Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive Varanasi By flight

Meeting on arrival and transfer to the Hotel. Afternoon an excursion to Sarnath. Sarnath where Buddha preached his first sermon to his first disciples. Also visit the nearby ruins of the erstwhile university of the Buddhist era. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 2 : Varanasi
Vishwanath Temple Vishwanath Temple

Early in the morning (0500hrs) we take you to banks of the river Ganges where we board a boat to see the morning ablutions of the Hindus from the security of our boat. The boat ride starts from Dasashwamedh Ghat and ends at Manikarnika Ghat along the sacred Ganges . Varanasi is the world's most ancient city and the home of Hinduism. The sunrise on the riverfront is spiritually uplifting as seen from the boat, crowded with temples and people and its labirynth of streets. It was earlier called Kashi. The present name is derived from the fact that it is at the confluence of the two rivers Varuna and Asi that flows across the city.

See the Kashi Vishwanath temple and the Gyanvyapi kund and the mosque attached to it. Also visit the Benares Hindu University the largest residential university in India with more than 3000 residential students. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 3 : Varanasi - Khajuraho By flight 9W 723 at 1220/1300 hrs.

Transfer to the Airport to board the flight or Khajuraho, meeting on arrival and transfer to the Hotel. Afternoon Sightseeing tour of Eastern and Western group of temples. Founded in the 9th and 10th century by the rulers of Chandela Dynasty, Influenced by tantrism, in which eroticism becomes a theme of philosophical interest and the aim is sublimation of sexual relationship in the sexual act or Maithun. Women are being regarded as the incarnation of the divine energy or Shakti. It is also possible that the carvings of Khajuraho were influenced by Kama Sutra, the famous treatise on erotic arts written by Vatsyayana in the time of the Guptas. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 4 : Khajuraho - Orchha By Surface 180 Kms. 4.5 hrs.
Orchha Temple

Leisurely in the morning drive to Orchha, on arrival check-in at Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of orchha temples. Orchha had the distinction of being the capital of one of the largest and most powerful kingdoms of Central India, the Bundela dynasty. The architectural splendor of the monuments in Orchha reflects the glory of its rulers. The word Orchha means 'hidden' and this name was given at the time when the Tughlaqs, who were ruling Delhi in the 15th century pushed the Bundelkhand rajas out of Garkhundar forcing them to retreat to distant Orchha Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 5 : Jhansi - Agra - Sariska

In time drive to Jhansi to board the train for Agra, meeting on arrival and drive to Sariska, on arrival checkin at Hotel. In the evening visit around the village. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Jhansi - Agra : By Train at 0655/1028 hrs.
Agra - Sariska : By Surface 230 Kms.

Day 6 : Alwar - Sariska - Bikaner : By Surface 7.5

In time drive to Bikaner, on arrival checkin at Hotel. Rest of the time free for independent activities. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 7 : Bikaner - Jaisalmer by Surface 330 Kms. 5 hrs.

Morning sightseeing tour of Bikaner city. Bikaner is named after its founder Rao Bikaji in 1488. But long before this, the city was trade center on the caravan routes from Africa and West Asia. Bikaner's dominant features are rippling sands and abundant sunshine. The city stands on an elevation, enclosed by a 7 Kms wall, which can be entered from 5 gate. Bikaner City is bolstered by imposing walls and has a 16th century fort housing old palaces, temples and mosque.

Later drive to Jaisalmer, on arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 8 : Jaisalmer

After breakfast, Later start to city sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer. Throbbing in the heart of the Thar, the burnished sandstone, is an intricately molded wonderland in place of a barren land, today stands a city of gilded magic. The origins of Jaisalmer go back to the 12th century, when Rawal Jaisal abandoned his old fort at Ludarwa and laid the foundation of a new city. Visit the magnificient fort, the Patwon Ki Haveli ( Mansion) and Salim singh Ki Haveli, with their carved balconies and brackets which are supreme examples of the art. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 9 : Jaisalmer - Jodhpur by Surface 290 Kms. 5 hrs.

Morning drive to Jodhpur you may visit Pokhran en route. On arrival check-in at Hotel. Rest of the day free for independent activities. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 10 : Jodhpur
Mehrangarh Fort Jaswant Thada

Sightseeing tour of Jodhpur city. Jodhpur - the stronghold of the fierce Rathore clan, was founded in 1459 by Prince Jodha. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill. Within the fort, visit Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal. Also visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing marble cenotaph, built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant singh II around 1899 and Umaid Public gardens. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 11 : Jodhpur - Mount Abu by Surface 280 Kms. 6 hrs

Early morning drive to Mount Abu, on arrival check-in at Hotel. Mount Abu is a green oasis in the barren deserts cape thats Rajasthan. Situated at the southern tip of the Aravali range the hill retreat owes its cool climate to its rich flora covering the entire hillside that includes coniferous trees and flowering shrubs. Mount Abu was the home of many saints and sages in the old days.

In the evening enjoy boat ride at Nakki Lake. The lake is surrounded by hills , parks and strange rock formations. Several Maharajas built lavish summer houses around the Nakki lake,a nd the maharaja of Jaipur's former summer palace is perched on a hill on looking the water. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 12 : Mount Abu - Udaipur by Surface 185 Kms. 4.5 hrs.

Morning sightseeing tour of the temples in Mount Abul, later drive to Udaipur, on arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 13 : Udaipur
Jagdish Temple Lake Pichola

Udaipur is situated around the shimmering clear blue water lakes, which whisper the mood of a bygone era. The city acquires its scenic beauty from the Aravallis. Three lakes- Pichola, Fateh Sagar and Udai Sagar make it an oasis in the desert.

Following breakfast we proceed on full day sightseeing tour the lake city, Udaipur. Visit the popular attractions of the city namely - City Palace and Museum, Jagdish Temple, Lake Fateh Sagar and Sheliyon ki Bari. Evening you will enjoy sunset boat cruise at Lake Pichola. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 14 : Udaipur - Dungarpur : By Surface 120 Kms. 3 hrs.

Morning drive to Dungarpur, on arrival check-in at Hotel. Evening walk around the village. Nestled at the foothills of the Aravalis in the state of Rajasthan in India, the rural town of Dungarpur is famous for its architecturally marvelous temples and palaces. With the blue waters of the Gaibsagar Lake at its heart, and 2 magnificent rivers Mahi and Som flowing through the region, Dungarpur is a beautiful town that must be explored on your tour to Rajasthan. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 15 : Dungarpur - Ahmedabad by Surface 180 Kms. 3-4 hrs.

Morning drive Ahmedbad, on arrival check-in at Hotel.

Day 16 : Ahmedabad
Shaking Minarets Sabarmati Ashram

Sightseeing tour of Ahmedabad City, visiting the magnificent Mosque of Siddi Saiyad with its exquisite stone carvings, the beautiful Jama Masjid, white marbled Hathee Singh's Temple, Dada Hari Baoli, Shaking Minarets, Calico Textile Museum and Sabarmati Ashram started by Mahatma Gandhi. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Ahmedabad is a great tourist attraction destination, as there are number of interesting places to see in and around the city. Some of the features that perfectly describe the Ahmedabad city are splendid monuments, wonderful museums and gorgeous lakes. There is an abundance of sightseeing places in Ahmedabad that are truly worth a visit.

Day 17 : Ahmedabad - Bhavnagar by Surface 250 Kms. 5 hrs.
Takhteshwar Temple

Morning drive to Bhavnagar, on arrival check-in at Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Bhavnagar. City tour of Bhavnagar, visiting the Gandhi Smriti which has a library, a small museum, gallery and memorial to the founder of India. Nearby is Gauri Shankar Lake, a picnic spot and Takhteshwar Temple with fine views from the hilltop. The Bhavnagar lock gate keeps ship afloat during low tides in the city's port. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 18 : Bhavnagar - Diu by Surface 248 Kms,. 5 hrs.

Morning drive to Diu, on arrival check-in at Hotel. Diu was a portugese colony until it was taken over by India in 1961. Between 14th and 15th centuries, Diu was an important trading post and naval base from which the Ottoman Turks controlled the shipping routes in the northern part of the Arabian sea. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 19 : Diu

Enjoy your day at the island. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 20 : Diu - Mumbai by flight 9W 3403 hrs. 1505/1735 hrs.

Transfer to the Airport to board the flight for Mumbai, meeting on arrival and transfer to the Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 21 : Mumbai - Aurangabad by Surface 7.5 hrs.

Morning drive to Aurangabad, on arrival checkin at Hotel. Evening walk around the market. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 22 : Aurangabad
Ellora Caves Ajanta Caves Ellora Caves Ajanta and Ellora

Full day excursion to Ajanta and Ellora caves.

In the morning, you will proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of the Ajanta and Ellora caves A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ajanta Caves are approximately thirty in number. The caves consist of chaitya halls (shrines) or viharas (monasteries). Paintings, scriptures and architecture of both the Hinayana sect as well as the Mahayana sect of Buddhism adorn Ajanta caves.

Ellora Caves also hold the distinction of being a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Ellora Caves represent the major religions, namely Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism. There are a total of 34 monasteries and temples at Ellora, belonging to the three different religions. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 23 : Aurangabad Mumbai by flight

Transfer to the Airport to board the flight for Mumbai, meeting on arrival and transfer to the Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 24 : Mumbai
Marine Drive Gateway of India Flora Fountain Elephanta Caves Chowpatty Beach Afghan Church Hanging Garden

Elephanta Caves, across the harbour to the world famous, 1200 years old Elephanta Caves, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The famous TRIMURTI sculpture signifying the trinity of the Creator, the Preserver and the Destroyer is located here. (Subject to weather conditions) City tour of Mumbai, visiting the Gateway of India, Prince of Wales Museum (Museum is closed on Mondays) Fish Aquarium, Jain Temple, Hanging Gardens on the slopes of Malabar Hills offering nice view of Marine Lines & Chowpatty Beach, Kamla Nehru Park, Mani Bhawan (Where Mahatma Gandhi used to stay) then to Dhobi Ghat. Also drive past Afghan Church, Flora Fountain, colourful Crawford Market and Marine Drive. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 25 : Mumbai

Day at leisure for independent activities. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 26 : Depart Mumbai

In time transfer to the Airport to board the flight for onwards destination.
