Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : ARRIVAL, WATERFALLS & SCENIC VIEWS (VYTHIRI/LAKKIDI)

  MORNING ARRIVAL & CHECK-IN; Arrive at the nearest airport (Calicut/Kozhikode - CCJ) or railway station (Kozhikode). The drive to Wayanad is scenic, especially through the Thamarassery Ghat Pass. Check into your resort/homestay in the Vythiri or Kalpetta area.
  AFTERNOON LAKKIDI VIEW POINT & CHAIN TREE; Drive up to Lakkidi View point, the gateway to Wayanad, for a breathtaking panoramic view of the serpentine valley below. Briefly stop at the famous Chain Tree, associated with a local legend.
  
  EVENING Pookode; Spend a serene evening at Pookode Lake, a natural freshwater lake shaped like the map of India. Enjoy boating (pedal or row) and stroll through the surrounding forest.
  NiGHT REST; Dinner & overnight stay in Vythiri/Kalpetta.

• Day 2 : TREKKING & EARTHEN DAM (KALPETTA ZONE)

  MORNING CHEMBRA PEAK TREK (OPTIONAL) If you are an avid trekker, start early for the Chembra Peak Trek. You will needv prior permission from the Forest Department. The highlight is the heart-shaped Hridaya Saras lake halfway up. (Note: Full peak access is often restricted; check local status.)
  AFTERNOON BANASURA SAGAR DAM; Visit Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earthen dam in india. Enjoy the beautiful reservoir views, walk along the dam, & consider a speed boat ride or a visit to the nearby Banasura Hill for more trekking (if Chembra is skipped).
  EVENING KARLAD LAKE ADVENTURE; Head to Karlad Lake Adventure park to try activities like Ziplining (over the lake) & kayaking, or just enjoy the peaceful lakeside setting.

• Day 3 : HISTORY, CAVES & UNIQUE ROCK (SULTAN BATHERY ZONE)

  MORNING EDAKKAL CAVES; Drive towards Sultan Bathery & trek up to the famous Edakkal Caves. These caves house fascinating Neolithic-era rock carvings & offer a rewarding view from the top. (Note: The final stretch involves a step climb.)
  AFTERNOON WAYANAD HERITAGE MUSEUM ; Visit the Wayanad Heritage Museum (Ambalavayal Heritage Museum) to see ancient artifacts & remnants of the region's tribal culture & history.
  EVENING PHANTOM ROCK; Visit Phantom Rock (Cheengeri Mala), a uique natural rock formation resembling a skull, perfect for photography & enjoying the sunset.
  NIGHT STAY IN SULTAN BATHERY; Shift base or return to your main accommodation.

• Day 4 : WILDLIFE SAFARI & RIVER ISLANDS

  MORNING WILDLIFE SAFARI (MUTHANGA/THOLPETTY); Start early for a jeep Safari at either the Muthanga or Tholpetty side of the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary. This is your best chance to spot elephants, deer, bison, & various bird species.
  AFTERNOON KURUVA ISLAND (KURUVADWEEP); Visit Kuruva Island, a protected river delta with a cluster of uninhabited islands on the Kabini River. Explore the dense bamboo groves via nature walks or bamboo rafting (seasonal/permit-based).
  EVENING TRIRUNELLI TEMPLE; Drive towards the north (near Tholpetty) to visit the ancient Thirunelli Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, set amidst the serene Brahmagiri hills.

• Day 5 : WATERFALLS & SPICE PLANTATION

  MORNING SOOCHIPARA WATERFALLS; Visit the majestic Soochipara Falls (Sentinel Rock Waterfalls). The three-tiered cascade is surrounded by dense forest. You can enjoy the view & take a refreshing dip (where allowed). (Note: Requires a trek down/up.)
  AFTERNOON TEA & COFFE PLANTATIONS; Take a guided tour or a leisurely walk through one of the many tea, coffe, spice plantations in the Meppadi region. Learn about the cultivation of pepper, cardamom, coffe.
  EVENING LOCAL SHOPPING (KALPETTA); Explore the market in Kalpetta for local specialties like fresh spices, Wayanad coffe, tea, honey, handmade chocolates.
  NIGHT RELAX; Enjoy your final peaceful night in Wayanad.

  • Themes Sightseeing
• Day 6 : DEPARTURE

  MORNING LEISURE & CHECK-OUT; Enjoy breakfast & some final quiet time at your resort, perhaps a nature walk around the property.
  LATE MORNING TRANSFER; Check out from the hotel & proceed for your transfer back to Kozhikode (CCJ) or your next destination.
