Slovenian Sights With The Culinary Delights

Departure to a fairy tale landscape of Lake Bled. A guided tour of a charming Bled and a visit of a confectionary, snacking on a typical Bled dessert – the Bled cream slice.
We are going to drive with a wooden boat called pletnja to the only Slovenian charming island with a church, where you can rig the famous wishing bell and make a wish.
We head to the stunning Bohinj Lake situated in the Triglav Natural Park . We make a stop at the lake and then proceed to the cable car, taking us to the Vogel viewpoint at 1800 m a.s.l. (magnificent view of the Bohinj Lake).
A guided tour of the boutique family farm, cheese dairy and ripening cellars, where the entire procedure of the production of cheese and other milk products can be observed by the guests.
We have selected a special tasting program in the room of dairy and gastronomy and guided tasting of individual products and cheeses.

A visit to a boutique family-owned fish hatchery. Guests are taken in boats to fish hatcher basins and have a look at the fish farm renowned for the Piran comber grown in unpolluted waters. At the end of your visit, a tasting of delicious fish specialities.
A visit the ancient romantic town Piran. A guided tour (the Piranka house, parish church, town wall...).
Dinner in a small family run restaurant in Piran, famous for tastefully fresh seafood dishes.
Departure to stunning Postojna Cave, with its “human fish” (Proteus), for whom it was once believed they were baby dragons. Postojna Cave is one of the most interesting karst caves, where guests make a wonderful journey into the caves by train. After having admired numerous stalactites and halls we continue to the one of the most interesting Predjama Castle, perching on a vertical cliff. The legend has it that a knight of Predjama, Erasmus, lived there.
Dinner at the famous manor of innovative cuisine in Vipava, which is known for numerous Italian guests ( Restaurateurs d'Europe).
Departure to Soca valley.
The valley and its emerald Soča river received in 2008 the EDEN (European destinations of excellence) award. A part of the film The Chronicles of Narnia was shot on the Soča river. The valley offers numerous sports activities (rafting, climbing, cycling, fishing, golf). There, one can also get the insight into the past, related to the Soča Front in World War I.
Lunch in a family renowned restaurant. Restaurant is a beautiful countryside house & estate, with three generations living in different floors. Behind the house, there is a huge herb, flower and vegetable garden, beside it you can hear a lively creek, home to a small family of trouts. The cook chef has obtained a lot of world prizes.

Time at your disposal in Ljubljana.
When making a reservation, the traveler shall confirm it by paying 50% of the price
(unless specified otherwise in the program). The remaining balance of the full price
shall be paid not less than 8 days prior to the beginning of travel, or documents shall
be provided which fully secure the payment of the total price by the balance due date.
When making a reservation 8 days before departure, the traveler shall confirm it
by paying 100% of the price (unless specified otherwise in the program).
Payment can be made by a bank transfer.
CANCELLATION OF TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS BY THE TRAVELLER:
If the traveler cancels travel arrangements, company shall retain an amount from the
total price as follows (unless otherwise specified in the program):
up to 30 days prior to departure 10% of the price
29-22 days prior to departure 30 % of the price
21-15 days prior to departure 40 % of the price
14-8 days prior to departure 80 % of the price
7-0 days prior to departure 100 % of the price
after departure 100 % of the price
These costs shall also apply to a change of the departure date and of the
accommodation establishment made at the traveler’s request, as well as to other such
CANCELLATION BY COMPANY OR CHANGES TO THE TRAVEL PROGRAM
Company reserves the right to change the date and/or time of departure by unforeseen
circumstances, and also the right to change the route of travel if travel conditions
change (natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond Company’s control), without
being liable for damages.
Company shall not be liable for changes resulting from unforeseen circumstances during the journey. In such cases, it may provide services as dictated by circumstances. Company reserves the right to cancel the travel program at the latest 5 days prior to departure. The total amount shall be returned to the traveler.
Any claim has to be communicated to our agency during the stay or within a maximum of 7 days after end of arrangement with the agency. No claim will be accepted afterwards. All claims should be sent in written form to the agency.
Negotiation is considered a general method of solving problems or discrepancies concerning the fulfilment of the contract. In case that the results of such negotiations are not found satisfactory by either of the parties, courts in the Slovenia are considered the courts of appeal and arbitration.
When rates on the market increase substantially (fuel, hotels etc) the agency has the right to change the rates published. Prices are informative and are subject to change without notice. “Gourmetravel” is not responsible for any change in prices that may occur due to a decision made by the administration of the individual sites.
