Located in Mananthavady, a region around 20 kilometers far from the main area of Wayanad, Begur Wildlife Sanctuary is easily accessible for all. You can reach Wayanad via rail by getting down at the Thalassery Railway Station in the Kannur District (80 km). From here, you can take a bus from here. Those traveling by air can get down at the Calicut International Airport, which is around 106 km from there and take a bus or cab. From Wayanad, you can take a cab or taxi or autos or even local buses to reach Mananthavady for the Begur Wildlife Sanctuary.

Carrying your binoculars is a not to forget thing as you never know when you may spot the beautiful and exotic birds here. You should also make sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothes so that you would be able to enjoy the walk around the large space. Also, make sure you keep the timing in mind when you are visiting the place. It is open between six and eight in the morning and closes around 5:30 pm in the evening.
