Ranikhet means Queen's farm. According to a legend, King Sudhar Dev won over the heart of his queen Padmini at this place. She was so mesmerized that she chose this beautiful meadow as her residence. It is a hill station entrenched in the foothills of Himalayan region. Ranikhet was developed by the British near the woods around ancient temples.
Ranikhet perches in the hilly region of Uttarakhand and witnesses a pure and cool atmosphere round the clock. The place gets covered with a blanket of snow during the winter season and summers have pleasant days as well as nights.
