Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival Srinagar

  Arrive Srinagar Airport, Meeting and assistance by Indus representative. Transfer by a chauffeur driven private car to deluxe houseboat on Dal Lake for five nights stay. Settle in your hotel or houseboat over a hot cup of Kahwa - a saffron enriched and almond supplemented drink to set your mood for the holiday.
  
  Leave for a relaxing Shikara ride on Dal or Nagin Lake in the evening.

  • Hotspots : Nagin Lake, Dal Lake

• Day 2 : Srinagar

  Leave for a morning trip to Shankar Achariya Temple. Here you will enjoy the fascinating views of Dal Lake, the houseboats (you can almost identify the houseboat you are staying in) Drive down to the Old city of Srinagar and visit Shah Hamadan Mosque - a excellent example of wooden architecture of Kashmir. Wander through the narrow city of Old city and shop of exotic spices like saffron and cocks comb.
  Visit Shalimar Bagh in the afternoon, then enjoy sun-set at Nishat Bagh and pop into the Tulip Gardens for a excellent finish of the day. Overnight at houseboat.

• Day 3 : To Gulmarg (full day excursion)

  After breakfast leave Houseboat for full day trip to Gulmarg. A 2 ½ hour journey will transport you to ‘The Meadow of Flowers’. The road passes through an expanse of rice field and delightful rural villages.
  The colors change with the season - sometimes-fiery red with famed Kashmiri chilly or russet gold when the leaves turn in the cool air of autumn. The views are wonderful and the air clear and fresh. A lush green valley, favored for its scenic beauty by Film crews. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains the air is clear and fresh. In summer play golf, pony trek or ride the exciting Gondola to the high slopes. In winter, as India’s premier ski resort, Gulmarg becomes a true ‘Winter Wonderland’ with skiing and snow boarding. Take a Gondola ride to the high slopes and have fun on snow in the middle of the hot summer months. Return to Srinagar evening for overnight at houseboat.

  • Themes : Hill Stations & Valleys, Skiing

• Day 4 : Pahalgam (full day excursion)

  After breakfast leave Houseboat for full day trip to Pahalgam; en route visit the saffron fields and the ruins of the 1100 year Awantipora Vishnu Temple. The drive is quite beautiful meandering through mighty Pine Forests. Enjoy the full day in Pahalgam with pony trekking to Chandanwari or Aru. Return to Srinagar in the evening for overnight stay at houseboat.

  • Themes : Trekking

• Day 5 : Sonmarg (full day excursion)

  After early breakfast leave Houseboat for full day trip of Sonamarg (The Meadow of Gold) Sonamarg serves as base for the Pilgrims visiting Holy Cave of Amaranth. After Lunch fish for Mahseer or trout in the crystal waters of the Sindh River. Return to Srinagar in the evening for overnight stay
  Evening free to relax or shopping at Polo View Market to find little souvenirs, pashminas and Jamawars, beautiful wicker baskets, walnut wood boxes or Paper Mache products - some inlaid with gold leaf! Famous Kashmir saffron and dry fruit.

• Day 6 : Departure from Kashmir

  After breakfast transfer to Srinagar Airport for your flight to onward destination.
