After breakfast a guide from Amahoro tours will be waiting to pick you up and you will depart for Nyungwe National park which takes about 6 ½ hrs drive via Butare visiting enroute, the famous National Museum at Butare and the ancient King´s Palace at Nyanza. The museum was donated in 1989 by the Belgium government with some ethnic collection, the design and concept all realized in co-operation with the Royal Museum for Central Africa of Tervuren; Belgium. Ethnographic objects are grouped together according to the theme giving premium information on the daily life. Traditional ceramics and basketry are still manufactured and belong to the finest handicrafts of the region. The National Museum remained surprisingly untouched during the civil war in 1994.arrive at Nyungwe forest in time for Lunch. Later depart for the canopy walk which sets 50 meters above the ground with a 150-meter walkway and is the first of its kind in East Africa and third on the continent after South Africa and Ghana. Take an early morning breakfast then with your packed lunch drive to this park for the starting point of your chimpanzee trek. Two species of chimpanzee occur in Africa. There is the Bonobo and the Common Chimpanzee Pan troglodytes (often shortened to Chimpanzee, and sometimes referred to as the Robust Chimpanzee). The largest remaining populations occur in central Africa (Gabon, DR Congo and Cameroon). About only 400 individuals, the population in Rwanda is an endangered one. However; it should be mentioned that it is not guaranteed to see the chimps as they are unpredictable and can move long distances in one day. Nyungwe National Park is the largest block of montane forest in East and Central Africa and it is an incredibly rich area of biodiversity. Later Return to the hotel for lunch then depart for Bukavu border, where our representative will be waiting to assist you clear with customs and cross over to Congo and drive to your hotel for overnight.

After an early breakfast, drive to Kahuzi Biega National Park for the Eastern Low land gorillas trekking; one of the last nature reserves features gorillas. You will be able to get within a few meters of these giants to observe them and see them interact with their environment. This is an extraordinary experience, unforgettable. Adult males range in height from 165-175 cm and in weight from 140–204.5 kg (310–450 lb.). Adult females are often half the size of a silver back, averaging about 140 cm (4 ft. 7 in) tall and 100 kg (220 lb.). Occasionally, a silver back of over 183 cm (6 ft.) and 225 kg (500 lb.) has been recorded in the wild. However, obese gorillas in captivity have reached a weight of 270 kg (600 lb.). After completing our park formalities, we embark on a once in a life time experience of tracking mountain gorillas. These massive primates are extremely rare, with less than 700 living today. You will get within meters of the family, and be privileged to spend an hour amongst them. Later head back to your for lunch and afterwards dinner and overnight.

After breakfast you will spend some time in Gisenyi before departing for Kigali with a stop at the Imbabazi Orphanage- Rosamond Halsey Carr (1912-2006) founded the Imbabazi Orphanage in 1994. Since that time Roz and her staff have cared for more than 400 children but however the children‟s home was closed down by the government owing to the fact that this does not match the Rwandan beliefs- However all the children are now adults and have guardians following up on them. Roz wrote the book “Land of a Thousand Hills: My Life in Rwanda,” with her niece, Ann Howard Halsey, chronicling her love affair with one of the world’s most beautiful and tormented regions. She is also the 2004 recipient of the Volvo for Life Award and a movie chronicling her life is currently in production.
Take a walk around the homestead and also get see lots of flowers that were planted by her as she really loved flowers. Have a cup of tea/coffee as you watch the local dancers and enjoy the traditional way of local entertainment. This is Rwandan traditional dancing; and guests will enjoy the performance and later be given an opportunity to join in the dance. Continue to Kigali, and check in to you hotel for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast you will bid your host good bye and depart for Kigali. 3. Air Transportation

All of our prices are given in US Dollars. The prices listed on this web site will be, in almost all circumstances, the prices you pay for the tours. We only accept payments in US Dollars to one of our US Dollar accounts in our company account. Payment can be made by wire transfer. In some circumstances, we may ask for a wire transfer, since the other methods may take weeks to arrive from some countries. Fortunately, we accept credit cards if only the client is ready to pay a 5% extra charge levied by the banks at this time due to the high processing fees charged by the card companies.
The tour program includes hotel taxes as imposed by city and state governments, entrance fees to National Parks and Game Reserves. International airport taxes are not included.

Giving gratitude is the sole prerogative of the traveler, and thus is the one if satisfied with the cook, guide or driver’s service then s/he may give a tip for services rendered.
Change of itinerary
If and when Dancom feels that by changing the itinerary, the resultant product will be great then the itinerary might be changed. You will be informed of the changes but most likely with no additional charges.
Passports and Visas

Dancom guarantees departure of all group programs once a deposit is paid
excepting only cases of force majeure. This includes any major world event that
adversely affects international travel patterns and circumstances beyond
Dancom Tours & Travel Company Limited, its employees, shareholders, officers
and directors (collectively “Dancom”) does not own or operate any entity which
is to or does provide goods or services for your trip, including, for example,
lodging facilities. As a result, Dancom is not responsible for any negligent or willful act
or failure to act of any such person or entity. In addition, Dancom is not responsible
for any negligent or willful act or failure to act of any person or entity it does not
own or control, nor for any act or inaction of any other third party not under its control.
Without limitation Dancom is not liable for any direct, indirect,
consequent- tial, or incidental damage, injury, death, loss, accident, delay,
inconvenience or irregularity of any kind which may be occasioned by
reason of any act or omis- sion beyond its control, including, without
limitation any willful or negligent act, failure to act, breach of contract or
violation of local law or regulation of any third party such as an airline,
train, hotel, bus, taxi, van or safari operator, local ground handler or guide,
whether or not it uses the Dancom name, financial default or insolvency of any
supplier and/or restaurant which is to, or does supply any goods or services for this trip.
Similarly, Dancom is not responsible for any loss, injury, death or inconvenience due
to delay or changes in schedule, overbooking of accommodation, default of any third party,
attacks or bites by animals, pests, or insects, injury or death while on activities
sponsored by lodging facilities or by other third parties, sickness, the lack of appropriate
medical care, evacuation to same, if necessary, weather, strikes, acts of God or government,
acts of terror- ism, or the threat thereof, force majeure, war, quarantine, epidemics,
or the threat thereof, criminal activity, or any other cause beyond its control.
Dancom may take photographs or film of its trips and trip
participants, and participant grants Dancom express permission to do so and
for Dancom to use such for promotional or commercial use.
There is no right to a refund for any unused services.
Baggage is at “owner’s risk” throughout the tour unless insured. The right is
reserved to alter or cancel the itinerary, at Dancom’s sole discretion, as it may
deem necessary or advisable, Dancom reserves the right to decline to accept or
retain any passenger on any of its tours if, in its sole discretion, it deems
accepting or retain- ing any such passenger as being detrimental to the tour.
In the event any passen- ger is removed from a trip, Dancom’s only obligation
is to refund to that person that portion of the payment allocable to unused
services. All scheduled airline flights are occasionally subject to overbooking, delay
or cancellation. If this occurs, Dancom will use its best efforts to assist clients
in find- ing alternative arrangements. Dancom, however, is not responsible for
any such events and the costs associated therewith.
Changes in the Responsibility clause can be made only in writing
signed by an officer of Dancom.
