Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Moshi to Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut

  Transfer to Marangu Gate (1,860m) for registration and formalities.
  Begin the trek through lush rainforest, ascending gradually to Mandara Hut (2,700m).
  Enjoy the tranquil surroundings and abundant birdlife before settling into the hut for the night.

• Day 2 : Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

  Depart Mandara Hut and continue the ascent through dense forest and heathland.
  Trek across the Maundi Crater, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
  Arrive at Horombo Hut (3,720m), your accommodation for the night, and acclimatize to the higher altitude.

• Day 3 : Horombo Hut (Acclimatization Day)

• Day 4 : Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut

  Resume the trek, leaving the moorland behind and ascending to the stark alpine desert.
  Pass by the last water point at the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks.
  Arrive at Kibo Hut (4,700m), your base for the final ascent, and rest before the summit bid.

• Day 5 : Summit Day - Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut

  Awake before midnight for a light meal and commence the exhilarating summit ascent.
  Trek through the night, guided by headlamps and a blanket of stars, ascending to Gillman's Point (5,681m) on the crater rim.
  Continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa, and savor the breathtaking sunrise.
  Descend to Horombo Hut for a well-deserved rest and celebration of your achievement.

  Descend from Horombo Hut through lush rainforest to Marangu Gate.
