• Day 4 : Thimpu to Punakha

  Today you will proceed further to Punakha, crossing over Dochu La the highest point on the road. You will take a short break over here to walk around the 108 chortens and if the weather is clear enjoy stunning views of the East Himalayan peaks from the pass.
  
  On reaching Punakha visit Chimi Lhakhang, the fertility temple of Lama Drukpa Kuenley also known as the Divine Madman. who advocated the use of phallus symbols as paintings on walls and as flying carved wooden phalluses on house tops at four corners of the eves. O/n at a hotel in Punakha

• Day 5 : Punakha to Paro

  In the Morning Visit the Punakha Dzong, Probably the Most Scenic One On all of Bhutan. the Dzong Houses the Sacred Relics of the Southern Drukpa Kagyu School Including the Rangjung Kasarpani, and the Sacred Remains of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal and Terton Padma Lingpa.

  Today you will go for a full day hike to Bhutan’s most iconic monastery Taktsang monastery. It is one of the most sacred places in Bhutan due to its association with Guru Rinpoche, who reputedly flew to Paro Taktsang cliff in the form of Guru Dorji Drolo, mounted on a flaming dakini-tigress in the 747 A.D., where he meditated and subdued evil spirits. Hence it is also referred to as Tiger’ Nest. The monastery is precariously perched on a high cliff overlooking the Paro valley. O/n at a hotel in Paro
