Package Overview

Kongde peak (6,011 m.) also called Kongde Ri and Kwangde rises beautifully above the Bhote Koshi river to the south-west of Namche village which is the main gateway to Khumbu region in Nepal. Kongde peak climbing is a technically difficult mountaineering peak of Khumbu region that demands some pre-mountaineering experiences. The northern part of this magnificent mountain form outstanding barricade forming several ridges making it one of the most difficult climb.

We fly from Kathmandu to Lukla via 35 minutes scenic mountain flight. From Lukla our trek commences towards Pakding (2,652m). Our trekking trail passes through the Lumding Valley, recognized as one of the most beautiful valley. We trek all the way through the awe- inspiring surrounding of the Khumbu region passing through pristine rhododendron and oak forest blooming with flowers, rivers, valleys, Emerald hills, Sherpa land and many more. We climb to the base camp where we spend a day to we assimilate our self and prepare for climbing to the summit. From Base Camp we climb up and set up High camp at the muzzle of the Kwangde Glacier, offering us direct access up to the steep and snowy slopes heading to the summit ridge. The summit of the Kongde peak (6,011 m.) offers scenic view of Everest towards north and beautiful Sherpa villages across the Nagpa La up to Tibet.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 :

  Meet at Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel

• Day 2 :

  Sight-seeing of Kathmandu: Full day’s sightseeing in Kathmandu valley which includes many of the UNESCO World Heritage Site like the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath, Kathmandu durbar square. We also visit Monkey Temple the Swoyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Return to the hotel.

• Day 3 :

  We train you how to use the climbing tools and prepare our self for climbing.

• Day 4 :

  We take a Flight from KTM to Lukla and Trek to Pakding (2,652m).

• Day 5 :

  We trek from Pakding to Ghat pari.

• Day 6 :

  We trek from Ghat Pari to Yak kharka.

• Day 7 :

  We trek from Ghat Pari to Yak kharka.

• Day 8 :

  We trek from Yak Kharka to Lumding kharka.

• Day 9 :

  We trek from Lumding Kharka to Kongde Ri Base Camp

• Day 10 :

  In Kongde Ri Base Camp we assimilate our self and prepare for climbing to the summit.

• Day 11 :

  From Base Camp we climb up and set up High camp at the muzzle of the Kwangde Glacier, offering us direct access up to the steep and snowy slopes heading to the summit ridge.

• Day 12 :

  We climb on summit of Kongde peak (6011m). Return back to high camp where we spend overnight.

• Day 13 :

  We take a day rest in high camp.

• Day 14 :

  We then trek back to Yak Kharka.

• Day 15 :

  Trek back to Lukla.

• Day 16 :

  We take a flight from Lukla to KTM, transfer to hotel.

• Day 17 :

  Spend a free day in Kathmandu, at evening we will have cultural show with delicious Nepali dinner, overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

• Day 18 :

  Final departure, transfer to airport

• Day 19 :

  Final departure onwards destinations.
