This Hoi An and My Son tour will take you to visit two famous world heritages of Vietnam within a day: The ancient town of Hoi An, the most charming town in Vietnam. This town is just like a living museum where local people still live in buildings hundreds of years old and My Son - The beautiful holy land of Cham people from 4th to 13th century.
Day 1 :
8:00am. Drive to My Son, a World Heritage, 50 km southwest of Hoi An. Located in a lush valley, My Son was a capital and religious center of Cham people, now remaining with red brick towers and sanctuaries. My Son, considered to be in the same league as some of Southeast Asia's greatest archaeological sites, including Angkor in Cambodia, Bagan in Myanmar, Ayutthaya in Thailand and Borobudur in Indonesia. These towers and sanctuaries was built from the 7 to 13 centuries.
Return to Hoi An, on the way visiting local people who breed silkworms and weave silk beside the Thu Bon river. The place is famous for its beautiful, high quality silk. Have lunch in a local homestay before returning to Hoi An by boat.
After the relax, it is light excursion to go around tiny town of Hoi An for city tour: 400 years old Japanese Bridge, 300 years old Chinese temple, 200 years old Vietnamese former merchants' house. Tour finishes at your hotel at 17:00pm.
