Nepal is a country with various unique local bird species, which makes it the ideal country for a bird watching tour! Explore the Bardia National Park and Chitwan, both especially great for bird watching. Observe, among others, Black Storks, Black Ibis, Woolly-necked Stork, Slaty-Woodpecker, Kingfishers, and Waders and Raptors, various partridges, quails and francolins.

The Bardia National Park is a wildlife reserve on Nepal’s border to India and has an amazing population of wild animals. Among those, Bardia has more than 250 species of birds, including the endangered Bengal florican and sarus crane. It is the largest national park in the Terai, a beautiful, unspoiled wilderness of sal forest and grasslands. Furthermore, Lumbini is not only the birth place of Buddha, but also inhabits many bird species to observe. Continuing to Chitwan National Park, we will explore the first National Park in Nepal that is listed as a world heritage site. Among the chance of spotting various mammal species, the park is home to many different birds that we can observe on our birdwatching tour.

Lastly, we will end our trip in one of Kathmandu Valley’s most beautiful National Parks: Shivapuri.
