Martand Surya/Sun Temple:- Is the big temple located at Martand in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir and is about 2 hours drive from its capital Srinagar .The temple is believed to be built by the third king of Karkota Dynasty (Lalitaditya Muktapida) in 8th Century. The temple is in ruin state and the Govt. Of India has developed this as important tourist site . The Archaeological Survey of India has declared this site of national importance .Many Bollywood movies has been shooted at this site .
Avantipura temples:- There temples located in Avantipura in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir and is about 2 & 30 minutes drivefrom its capital Srinagar. The temple is also in ruin state but stands as important tourist site . The temples are believed to be built by King Avantivarman in 9th century having appearance of Greek Architecture . The sun temple at Martand and Avantipura temples are built by the same materials.
Parihaspora:- Once served as capital during the rule of King Lalitaditya is located in Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir 1 hour drive from its capital Srinagar. The site is a protected monument and is under the Archaeological Survey of India . The site is also in ruin state . This is known as city of stones .The material of this site is believed being utilized for the Jhelum cartload .

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Srinagar Airport

  Pick up from Srinagar airport.
  Transfer to the hotel . Relax after check in followed by welcome drink.
  Proceed to explore Dal Lake.
  Overnight stay in hotel.

• Day 2 : Srinagar – Martand – Avantipura

  After breakfast by 8.00 am, leave for Martand( 2 hours journey)to explore the history behind Martand Sun temple built by The third king of Karkota Dynasty ( Lalitaditya Muktapida)in 8th Century.
  Explore another two Temples at Avantipura built By Avantivarman in 9th Century AD and These reflects the unique style influenced by Buddhist Gandhara and Greek art.
  Back to the hotel in the evening around 1700 hours for overnight stay In Srinagar.
• Day 3 : Srinagar – Parihaspora

  Leave after breakfast for day trip to Parihaspora 30 km approx. from Srinagar.
  The site is under the archaeological survey of India . This is called city of stone.
  The capital was founded by LalitadityaMuktapida.
  The residence and 04 temples were built at this site by Lalitaditya. The site lost its importance after death of Lalitaditya Muktapida .The real destruction is believed to took place when Avantivarman ‘s son Shankar verman moved material to build new capital at pattan ( 13 km away at Baramulla road).
  Check out the attraction for full day. Back in the evening to Srinagar for overnight stay.
• Day 4 : Srinagar - Full Sightseeing

  After breakfast , leave for full day trip to sites of monuments , including Shankaracharya temple located at the hill of Zabarvan.
  Proceed to Pari Mahal once a Buddhist monastery , later the Mughal kings son DaraSikoh changed it school of astrology and astronomy during Mughal rule.
  Back in the hotel for overnight stay.

• Day 5 : Srinagar – Srinagar Airport

  After breakfast , leave for Srinagar airport to catch flight for your onward destination.
