Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : 1-Day Rwanda Gorilla

Your driver-guide will provide the services of picking you up from your hotel in Kigali and offer a brief orientation regarding your mountain gorilla trekking expedition at 4:00 am. After this short briefing, you’ll embark on a picturesque drive to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze. The drive from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park takes Approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Upon arrival at Volcanoes National Park headquarters, meet your experienced guide and attend a briefing on the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. You will also be divided into groups of 8 individuals and assigned a specific gorilla trekking family to visit.

The duration of the trekking experience can vary between 90 minutes and the entire morning, contingent upon the assigned family group. During this time, you will have the privilege of spending one invaluable hour with the mountain gorillas, potentially moving alongside them to ensure an immersive encounter. Your experienced guide will adeptly navigate, ensuring optima positioning for capturing stunning photographs and fully embracing the awe-inspiring experience.

After your time with the gorillas, you will return to the starting point of the trek where you meet your driver-guide and transfer to the Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel for lunch. After lunch, you will begin your journey back to Kigali. Upon arrival in Kigali city, you will be transferred back to your hotel or to Kigali International Airport for your outbound flight and bidding farewell to your driver-guide.
