Day Wise Breakup

Day 1 - Delhi - Jammu - Srinagar

Transfer to Houseboat / Hotel. Afternoon Shikara ride on the Dal lake, visiting floating / vegetable gardens, Dinner and overnight at Hotel / Houseboat.

Day 2 - Srinagar - Sonamarg

Full day excursion to Sonamarg by car. The distance of about 87 kms. will be covered in about 3 and 1/2 hrs. time. Sonamarg lies in Sindh valley strewn with flowers and surrounded by mountains. Sonamarg is also the base for some interesting treks to high altitude Himalayan lakes. Drive back from Sonamarg and transfer to Dlx. Houseboat / Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 - Srinagar

Morning sightseeing of the Mughal Gardens, visiting Nishat Bagh built by Asaf Khan, the brother - in - law of Jehangir in 1632 A.D, and Shalimar Bagh built by Jehangir for his wife empress Nur Jahan. All the gardens are situated on the banks of the Dal Lake with the Zabarwan hills in the background.

* En route the gardens, visit a carpet-weaving factory.

* Lunch at Houseboat / Hotel.

* Afternoon free.

* Dinner and overnight stay in Dlx. Houseboat / Hotel.

Day 4 - Srinagar - Gulmarg

Full day trip to Gulmarg (The meadow of flowers) 2730 mts. above sea level. The distance of 56 kms. will be covered in about 2 and 1/2 hours drive. Gulmarg has on of the best ski slopes in the wild and one of the highest golf courses in the world with 18 holes. You can also enjoy a view of Nana Par bat if the weather permits. The view en route from Tangamarg to Gulmarg is fascinating.

* A short trek up to Khilanmarg, which can be covered in about 3 hrs. is optional.

* The Gondola lift for mountain rides is also available

* Overnight stay in Gulmarg.

Day 5 - Gulmarg - Srinagar - Pahalgam

After breakfast for Pahalgam via Srinagar. The distance of about 152 kms. Will be covered in about 5 hrs.

En route, visit the saffron fields of Pampore, Awantipura Ruins (1100 years old temple of Lord Vishnu built by the King Awantivarman), and enjoy the beautiful countryside. Drive through the pine forest. Arrive at Pahalgam (the valley of shepherds) and transfer to Hotel. After lunch, walk along pony trails with a magnificent view of the mountains.
Dinner and overnight stay in hotel at Pahalgam.

Day 6 - Stay at Pahalgam

* Free for individual activities.
* Visit Chandanwari or Aru on points.

Day 7 - Pahalgam - Srinagar

Drive back to Srinagar from Pahalgam and transfer to Dlx. Houseboat / Hotel. After noon free for shopping etc. Diner and overnight stay in Dlx Houseboat / Hotel.

Day 8 - Departure by Airport

After breakfast, transfer to airport for the return flight.
