About Ambaji

Ambaji is an alluring temple town that lies in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is revered by the followers of Hinduism on a large scale. This pious shrine is one among the 51 shaktipeethas in India. It is believed that the heart of Sati fell at this place. During the festival of Navratri, Ambaji temple is bedecked beautifully and is visited by thousands of the devotees. Garba is played with a great zeal at Ambaji during Navratri.


The town of Ambaji is elevated at a height of 1500 feet above the sea level and its jagged plains cover an entire area of 1000 sq. km. It has a tropical moderate climate. During the summer season, the average temperatures touch 37°C, whereas, fall down at 12°C on an average. Ambaji town also receives an adequate amount of rain shower with an annual average of 2800 mm.


The town of Ambaji is well-known for the shaktipeetha but, there are different other places as well. One can go to different places like Gabbar Hill, Kailash picnic point and hill, Koteshwar, and the popular malls located in the town.
