Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Paro

  Arrive Paro International Airport. Drive to Thimphu (~ 1 hour drive). Thimphu sightseeing if time permits. Overnight in Thimphu.
• Day 2 : Thimphu

  Hike to Tango or Cheri Monastery, visit the local post office (closed on Sundays and Public holidays), Takin zoo, Tashichho Dzong (fortress) etc. Overnight in Thimphu.
• Day 3 : Punakha

  Drive to Punakha (~ 3 hours drive). Enroute stop at Dochula Pass to visit the Druk Wangyel Chorten and get a beautiful view of the Himalayan range. Visit Punakha Dzong. Overnight in Punakha.
• Day 4 : Punakha - Paro

  Punakha sightseeing in the morning. Drive to Paro in the afternoon. Overnight in Paro.
• Day 5 : Paro

  Visit the Rinpung dzong, National Museum (closed on Public Holidays), Dungtse Lhakhang, Kyichu Lhakhang and a farm house. Overnight in Paro.

• Day 6 : Paro

  Hike to the Tiger's nest (Taktsang) Monastery. Visit the ruins of Drugyel dzong. Overnight in Paro.
• Day 7 : Departure

  Departure.
