Package Overview

Annapurna Base Camp via Ghorepani is a short and best trek for all the trekkers who don't have plenty of time to explore the Annapurna region to its depth. The trek takes you through forest full with rhododendrons, cross several suspension bridges, boulders and moraines, and several villages. Poon Hill is another attraction of this trek; you shall be awarded with the beautiful views of about 20 mountains, and some places like Pokhara and Mustang in the early sunrise. You shall also make through the dense, dark, damp, and cold forest of bamboo. This is a complete blend of easy adventure, natural beauty, and cultural awareness. Ghorepani, named after its important spot for ancient traders to let their horses drink water, is yet another attraction of this trek.

The 12 days itinerary of the trek begins after your arrival. You shall spend a whole day explore some of the major attractions of the valley. Then, the next day, you shall fly to Pokhara, and drive to Naya Pul, which takes an hour, and start trekking towards Ulleri. From Ulleri, you shall head off towards Ghorepani. On you way to Tadapani, you shall make to the top of Poon Hill early in the morning to witness the sunrise views. Then, you shall head off to Chhomrong. Leaving Himalaya Hotel, you shall make to the Annapurna Base Camp through the barren landscape. Then, you shall return back to Sinuwa. Next day, passing Shewmi, you shall arrive at Naya Pul to drive to Pokhara. You shall return to Kathmandu the next day.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu

  Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,320m
  
  Welcome to Nepal. Our representative shall be waiting in the airport for you arrival to take you to your hotel. After you rest for a while, you are free to do some self-adventure of walking the street. We shall be sitting together for a dinner, enjoying local typical Nepalese dishes in a famous restaurant of the town. Stay overnight in your hotel in Kathmandu.

• Day 2 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu

  Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,320m
  
  Kathmandu boasts some of the world heritage sites such as the Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath, Boudhhanath, and Basantapur Durbar Square. Besides, there are colorful streets and temples you might fancy a visit to. You can also do some shopping for your trek. We shall be sitting together in the brief debrief session talking about the trek. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

• Day 3 : Flight to Pokhara/ Trek to Ulleri

  Altitude: Pokhara: 823m; Ulleri: 1,950m
  
  The flight takes about 30 minutes to reach Pokhara from Kathmandu. After you reach Pokhara, you shall ride to Naya Pul, which takes about an hour. From there, you shall start trekking towards Birethanti which is located at the junction of Bhurungdi and Modi Kholas. Ascending to Sudame, the trail futher presses uphill to Tikhedhunga. Crossing the suspension bridge, making through the series of stone steps, the trail leads you all the way to Ulleri. Stay overnight at Ulleri.

• Day 4 : Ulleri to Ghorepani

  Altitude: Ghorepani: 2,850m
  
  The trail goes through forest full with rhododendrons and oaks. The beauty of the forest and landscape shall captivate your heart and refill your spirit to do the trek with more enthusiasm and wonder. Taking frequent breaks and rests, you shall reach to Ghorepani from Ulleri in about 5-6 hours. Ghorepani offers you some of the majestic views of Mt. Annapurnas and Dhaulagiri. Stay overnight at Ghorepani.

• Day 5 : Ghorepani to Tadapani via Poon Hill

  Altitude: Tadapani: 2,520m
  
  Every in the morning, you shall scramble your way towards the Poon Hill. It is the most popular place to witness sunrise and thus, is also called 'Photographer's Paradise'. The top offers the magnificent views of Mt. Annapurnas, Dhaulagiris—about 20 mountains in total, and also the view of Pokhara and Mustang. After spending some time here, you shall descend down to Tadapani through rhododendron forest, passing waterfalls. Stay overnight at Tadapani.

• Day 6 : Tadapani to Chhomrong

  Altitude: Chhomrong: 2,175m
  
  The trail follows descending down through the stone stairs, and penetrates rhododendron forest. Further, the trail leads you to river side, and then ascends uphill through forest and reach Kimrong. Again a steep climb awaits you for a couple of hours before reaching Chhomrong. You shall be seized by the sheer beauty of Annapurna once you reach there. Stay overnight at Chhomrong.

• Day 7 : Chhomrong to Himalaya Hotel

  Altitude: Himalaya Hotel: 2,850m
  
  Going alongside the Chhomrong River, the trail gains height. The trail ascends uphill to Sinuwa. The trail then leads you through the forest full with rhododendrons, and after some ups and downs, you reach Dobhan. It takes about 5-6 hours to reach Himalaya Hotel from Chhomrong. Throughout the trek, the views of mountains accompany you. Once you reach Dobhan, you can explore the place. Stay overnight at Himalaya Hotel.

• Day 8 : Himalaya Hotel to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC)

  Altitude: Annapurna Base Camp: 4,130m
  
  The trek begins with magnificent views of glacier downhill, and ascends through steep path to Hinku Cave. Approaching the river, the trail gains altitude to Deurali. Now the vegetation starts to get few, and walking on river bed you shall reach to Machhapuchhre Base Camp. Further, the trail goes through barren landscape into Annapurna Sanctuary. It offers you panoramic views of the mountains such as Mt. Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli and other mountains. Stay overnight at Annapurna Base Camp.

• Day 9 : ABC to Sinuwa

  Altitude: Sinuwa:
  
  After breakfast in the morning, you shall descend downhill. The descent is less strenuous and time consuming than the ascent. Passing Dobhan, you shall enter into the forest full with rhododendron and climb to Sinuwa. It takes about 6-7 hours from Annapurna Base Camp to arrive at Sinuwa. This is the first day of your return trek, and flood of memories of the starting might make you nostalgic. Stay overnight at Sinuwa.

• Day 10 : Sinuwa to Shewmi/ Drive to Pokhara

  Altitude: Pokhara: 823m
  
  The trail passes the Jhinu Danda overlooking the amazing landscape of hills and arrive at Naya Pul. From Naya Pul, you shall hop into a vehicle that takes you to Pokhara, to your hotel. Once you reach there, you are free to make some evening strolling in the lakeside. If you happen to arrive early, you can also visit some of the major attractions of this beautiful city. Stay overnight in Pokhara.

• Day 11 : Flight to Kathmandu

  Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,320m
  
  It takes about 30 minutes to reach Kathmandu via the flight. Our representative shall drop you at your hotel. After you freshen-up and rest for a while, you can do some strolling around the city. You can also do some shopping for your return. We shall be sharing our experiences over dinner in a popular restaurant in the evening. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

• Day 12 : Departure

  After you are ready with you luggage, our representative shall take you to the airport and bade farewell. Have a happy journey. Do remember us if you have any other plan of trekking in Nepal.
