On the outskirts of Panchkula in Haryana, Morni Hills is a great place for nature enthusiasts. ‘Morni’ derived its name from that of a queen who ruled the city in the past. This hill is an off shoot of the Shivalik mountain ranges and it is a serene place. It is appreciated for its picturesque beauty. There are lovely lakes as well which are considered sacred. You will be picked up from your preferred location or hotel in Chandigarh in a sophisticated car to begin visit to Morni Hills. Chandigarh to Morni Hills distance is about 42 km which takes about 1 hour.
Day 1 : Guest Pick Up/ Drive to Morni Hills/ Little Sightseeing
Guest picked up and we move towards Morni Hills. Upon arrival we take a hotel. After rest and refreshment we begin sightseeing. We see old fort and man-made lakes.
Old Fort: A great site for ruin explorers. It is believed that it belonged to Queen Morni. It was built sometime in the 17th century. Scenic beauty adds to the excitement.
Man-made lakes: There are three manmade lakes; Tikkar Tal, Bada Tikkar and Chhotta Tikkar. These are beautiful lakes which are the signatures of Morni Hills. The lakes are connected to each other in a mysterious way. Night rest.
Day 2 : Morni Hills Sightseeing
We see Temple of the Holy Trinity and adventure park and Gurudwara Nada Sahib.
Temple of the Holy Trinity: This a very old temple on the banks of the lake. It is believed that it was built in the 12th century. We offer prayers in this ancient temple.
Adventure Park: It is a man-made park made between the twin lakes of Tikkar. It offers a number of amusements for the kids. A beautiful waterfall at Thalapur near the Park makes it a beautiful picnic spot.
Gurudwara Nada Sahib: It is an important Gurudwara which is very beautiful and revered. Night rest.
Day 3 : Morni Hills Sightseeing/ Back Trip
We see Mandhana cliff and do some adventure activities.
Mandhana Cliff: This is a remarkable mud cliff from where beauty of the deep forests can be enjoyed. The site offers mesmerising natural beauty.
Adventure Activities: Guests enjoy rope climbing, Burma Bridge, commando nets, Rock-climbing and Rappelling in adventure park. Tree house is also there with fountains and a food cafeteria.
After exploring major spots the guest dropped at preferred location.
