Everest Rolwaling Trek is a wild and little less traveled valley in the East of Nepal, just south of the Tibetan border, below Gauri Shankar (7,135m). The journey to Rolwaling is strenuous compared to other treks in the Everest region rolwaling valley trek but equally rewarding and unique. We commence the trek with a bus ride from Kathmandu – Lhasa highway, the scenic beauty on the way to Dolakha itself is very captivating. Dolakha is one of the most remote, historic and beautiful parts of Nepal. The Everest rolwaling trekking trail from Dolakha is very well-defined and used by porters and shepherds going up the kharkhas or grazing pastures at Beding. The trail is rewarding in all terms of cultural exposure and visual drama as it passes through picturesque Sherpa, Tamang and Chhetri villages, typical terraced fields, dense & gloomy forests and broad ridges with beautiful views.

Flight notice to Lukla
Nowadays Tribhuvan International Airport is under maintenance to avoid its heavy traffic congestion. So flight to Lukla is only possible through Rammechap 130 km far apart from Kathmandu. According to government authenticity body this will remains until its maintenance accomplishment. We think it doesn’t make you so much difficult because reaching to Rammechap (Manthali Airport) is only about 3-4 hours drive.

Besides of Lukla and return flight, Directly we can manage the arrangement of helicopter flight from Kathmandu. There is no more than five people in one group. Group cost of this one way flight for Lukla should extra 500 USD per individual. Grouping is made by our agent at airport immediately, so we request our clients to help us for group arrangement as much as possible. The conformation of preferred alternative helps us to become more reliable.

The most important point of the rolwaling khumbu valley is the beautiful Tsho Rolpa Lake (4540m), an ice lake held back by terminal moraine. The unmarked route goes along the Trakarding Glacier, then climbs steeply up onto the Drolambau Glacier. The scenery is tremendous every inch of the way! On the east side of the glacier is a range of mountains well over 6000m. The Teshi Lapcha La goes through these mountains by the foot slopes of Pacharmo. The descent on the other side is steep and very rough through boulder fields.Sometimes the trail is difficult to find until you reach Thyangbo Kharka, a very lonely dwelling on the route to Thame, and then on to Namche Bazaar.
