Kullu Valley - Pony Trail Tour - 05 days / 04 nights

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Manali - Lamadugh (6 Kms/ 4-5 hrs walk)

  Start trek from Manali (2050 m). The first day of the trek leads through cool forests of giant Cedar, Alder and Oak. The trail ascends gently at first, through the Manalsu valley along Manalsu stream. Extensive views of Kullu valley appear and slowly fade into the distant as the first campsite in the lush green meadows of Lamadugh is reached after a steep ascent. Beautiful views of the surrounding peaks dominate the scene. Overnight in tents at Lamadugh (2727 m).

  • Themes : Hill Stations & Valleys

• Day 2 : Lamadugh - Khanpari - Rani Sui (4 kms/ 5 - 6 hrs)

  The trek is through steep a ridge below Khanpari Tibba (4000 m). From this point, one can have a magnificent glimpse of Manali, situated on the left bank of River Beas and the whole upper Kullu valley, which appears swathed in the different colors of the season. The lake at Rani Sui is a small mountain tarn with 360 degree views of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges. Overnight in tents.

  • Themes : Hill Stations & Valleys

• Day 3 : Rani Sui - Camp 4

  It's a steady descent today through green meadows over the scenic ridges. Rest of the day free to explore the surrounding. Overnight at camp.

• Day 4 : Camp 4 - Shangchar Village (3 kms/ 3 hrs)

  Steep descent for 3 hrs to the village of Shangchar. On arrival set up of camp. Overnight at camp.

• Day 5 : Shangchar - Road head at 17 miles trek & drive to Manali

  Descent for nearest road head at 17 mile near Bran from where the vehicles would pick you up and drive to Manali (10 kms/ 20 minute). Trek ends in Manali.
