4 Nights / 5 Days
Marangu Road. The oldest and most well-known route on Kilimanjaro is the Marangu route, sometimes referred to as the "Coca-Cola" route. The only route that substitutes dormitory-style sleeping huts for camping is this one. It is distinct in that its permanent huts offer additional comfort. The Coca-Cola Route also offers breathtaking views of the Mawenzi and Kibo summits of Kilimanjaro! The 5-day routes are ideal for seasoned hikers, but the 6-day itineraries are also available on the Marangu Route. If this is your first climb, the 6-day Marangu Route plan is better because it allows for more time for acclimatization. Climbers of Kilimanjaro on Marangu can anticipate a nice 64-kilometer (40-mile) walk that will lead to a 92% success rate for the longer program.
