  Rose garden: Rose garden is very popular among tourists visiting Chandigarh. It is named after India’s former president Zakir Hussain. It is the house of 50000 rose bushes of 1600 different species. Beautiful plants planted in carved-out lawns and flower beds is a major tourist attraction here. It hosts annual rose festival, a major cultural event, during February or March.
  
  
  Chandigarh Museum and Art gallery: it is the house of world-class pieces of art and architecture. It has a very rich collection of sculptures. It is situated in the heart of the city in spectacular view of the Shivalik range of mountains. Its building is an attraction as great architect Le Corbusier himself designed it.

• Day 2 : We Visit Rock Garden and Sukhna Lake

  Rock Garden: Its creator Nek Chand started this garden secretly in his spare time in 1957. It is a very unique world of art as completely built of industrial material, thrown-away items and waste. Its founder started its creation by collecting materials from demolition sites around the city. It looks amazing with hundreds of concrete sculptures of animals, dancers, musicians amidst green forest.
  
  
  Sukhna Lake: This is a famous reservoir at the foothills of the Himalayas. Tourists from all around the world visit this place. Activities like boating, camel ride, visit to fascinating spots, sightseeing are very popular here. Do not miss Garden of Silence (Buddha Peace Park) if you visit the place.
