Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Nairobi - Nanyuki

  After breakfast, we will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel and depart for Nanyuki town, arriving in time for lunch. The afternoon will be spent acclimatizing and organizing any gear you may require for the trek. Dinner and overnight is at a Budget Hotel in Nanyuki.

• Day 2 : Nanyuki - Old Moses

  After breakfast, we drive to Mt. Kenya through the Sirimon Park Gate where we will begin the hike, taking us through Tropical Rain Forests and Bamboo sections with lunch enroute. This hike takes about 3 hours. We arrive in the evening at The Old Moses Huts where we will have dinner and spend the night. The altitude here is 3,300M.

• Day 3 : Old Moses - Shiptons

  After breakfast, we hike to Shipton’s which is at about 4,200M above the sea level. Walking time is 5 to 7 hours depending on your individual fitness level with a picnic lunch stop-over half way through the walk. Dinner and overnight is at the Shipton’s Huts.

• Day 4 : Shipton’s - Pt. Lenana - Mackinders

  Wake up to a pre-dawn attempt of Pt. Lenana; 4985M above the sea level. With good visibility and the weather is clear, you may see Mount Kilimanjaro to the south, Mt. Elgon to the west and even the Indian Ocean to the East. After your photography and viewing opportunity, surrounded by glaciers and ice rock caves, descend leisurely to Mackinder’s camp on the Naro Moro trail, meals en-route. The altitude is 4,200M. The hut is on Teleki valley opposite the main peaks. Descent will be about 5 hours. Dinner and overnight is at the hut.

• Day 5 : Mackinder’s - Nairobi

  After breakfast, we descend to Met Station in roughly 3 hours and catch transport to Naro Moru Town for lunch. Afterwards then board your transport to Nairobi, arriving in the evening.
